Being told what to do, without reason, by the Archbosh, in flagrant disregard to centuries of Statute Monarchy, has revolted me. Jingoism was discredited a hundred years ago, and the sooner you get this out of your system, the better. We fight for the Nation, not the figurehead. We're loyal to the Nation, and in my case, God, and that doesn't change. Being put into a feudal oath without any of that by this city financier in a dress (he was BP's Treasury Director before entering the Church, something that should have given an ecologically-minded individual pause for thought before accepting consecration as the Head of the Church of England) is enough to turn my stomach. True, he said it wasn't compulsory, but that misses the point: we're a democracy now, and that oath undoes it.

I share with you the passion for Military music and how important it is to document these sorts of things for prosperity, tradition and also awareness and entertainment for others! I was incredibly fortunate to be in a position to record these events and early morning rehearsals for both the coronations and the State Funeral of Her Majesty the Queen due to me being allowed of the rehearsals to take footage. It was a humbling experience indeed!

Robert Browne Hall wrote that one, Death or Glory and a bunch of others they like to play. He was born in Maine and grew up in Waterville. Every year they actually celebrate Robert Brown Hall day. He spent most of his life about $2 from broke busted. His first march he paid someone $25 to arrange for him and he said never again. From that point on he did all his own arranging. But he did die penniless despite selling quite a few pieces. He loved music more than a lavish lifestyle and his marches prove his talent.

Yes. The Massed Guards Bands are marching in ranks of 3 each in the massed band to fit around the roads of London so to split them up to march from Waterloo they had 3 ranks of Grenadiers, 2 of Scots. 1 Scot’s, 3 Welsh and 1 Irish and then 2 Irish and Coldstream files to create each band of 5.
