I’m now living in Australia as my family decided to return here in 1991. I was born in australia, to Londoner parents and my mum was so homesick we returned to the UK in 1978. I did all my schooling in the UK, raised as British. Got married to an Englishman. I wasn’t going to leave the UK with my family in ‘91 but my husband decided that he thought it would be a great opportunity for us so we got him a visa & we went to Australia. I still get VERY homesick but my children are all Australian and my now ex husband does not want to return to the UK. My children have grown up being educated about the Royal family etc, especially my daughter now 24yo so is going to be visiting next November for the first time. I’m hoping to do a visit with her the next year to show her where I grew up in North Devon. I still class myself as English and always will. I have never felt australia is home but I would not be able to afford to return to the UK now! 🙁🇬🇧 I hope the life guard who fell off his horse is ok & that the horse isn’t injured. It seemed to be walking ok. Was a bit funny seeing his empty saddle as his horse went by, still in position in the group. It sounded like the police were being told to look out for his missing helmet!! Hope that gets returned & someone doesn’t try to keep it as a memento! He will be very upset that he missed out on his big day after all the practicing they did the last couple of evenings! 😮

@@joycegibbs5267 Let me guess.. bottom lip wobbling because of a Labour Mayor doing his job, improving London by cutting down on emissions that are spewed out by all those vehicles clogging Londons roads. Good! The less traffic the better, and the quicker it can move. Don't like it? The move out of London and face the same thing in the suburbs. So suck it up (fumes and all) going by your whinging comment, you're a right wing Tory that doesn't believe in the democatic right to have a peaceful protest that gets riddled with extremist right wing followers intent on disrupting the rule of law. The Mayor of London, even when right or left wing, will still do everything to improve London, including cutting down on emissions. So even if you hate what the current Mayor is doing, a right wing one will do exactly the same.

When I was only 15 years oif age I also sat in the visitors gallery in the House's of Parliament to hear the debate on the Government removing the last product of the the rationing we had endured throughout the war years initally it was onlky 2 ounces a week and then later on to 3 ounces, I wonder what present day people would cope with that today.
