I do get patchiness with mine so I like to use them as a base for my powder blushes. It makes them last literally ALL day in the humid and hot weather of the Caribbean. I love it tbh

These are beautiful products. Tart used to have the cheek stains that were jelly... They were fantastic as well and they were the exact same consistency, but no one remembers them.... Ulta even had a jelly cheek stain. That was really good....

Ah yes that tricky jelly blush nobody could figure out how to use 😂 It's patchy because it's a water-based tint, you can't apply it like a cream blush and then blend it in. Here's the thing, because it's water-based, you want to use a brush, a sponge or your fingers to apply the product with, and THEN blend it into your skin. Applying it directly on the cheeks with the stick it comes in will create that harsh line and, because it's a water-based tint, it dries very fast, not leaving much time to work with the product before it sets. It also leaves a LOT of pigment if applied directly on the skin. Using a brush will help diffuse that pigment before letting it set. Hope it helped ! 👌

I haven’t experienced patchiness with mine, but always build them super slowly (only tapping VERY lightly with my brush, and then off on the back of my hand… which admittedly becomes a strange shade of pink). They give a super beautiful, watercolour flush if you can work around the application hurdles!

Try taking a damp beauty blender and getting product from the blush then pat onto your cheeks. Also try spraying setting spray on the blush before use❤

I found them patchy too, even on just a freshly cleansed and moisturized face. But I love it for my lips because the tint is so lovely and natural but you can build it up. Also the cooling sensation is so relaxing!

I also found them to be a bit patchy, though I only have the shade chill. It’s nice to use on a day when I don’t have any complexion products on aside from maybe some spot concealing, so I can blend pretty aggressively, and I’ve also found it works for underpainting since putting a skin tint over it helps to move the pigment around a little without completely wiping it away

I thought that brand was great but seeing this demonstration shifts my opinion of it.

Did some research...but their website says - The trick to blending Cooling Water Jelly Tint is to work one cheek at a time. Swirl it on in small circles then quickly blend with a brush or sponge. Want a softer look? Sweep a brush directly over the stick, then apply to cheeks for a diffused finish." I did wonder if you would have a better result with a beauty blender, or from applying first before BB cream or foundation.

I think they look quite patchy on almost everyone but I never hear anyone say something about it so I thought it was me being picky and negative 😅 I think people fall so badly for the hype with these that they have a tendency to overlook the downsides a little 😬

I haven’t seen a good review for them yet. My understanding is that they were purposely made like this to go viral on TikTok for the kids. No part of me is even interested in trying them. Very gimmicky and not at all what I would reach for.

I will tell you that my face literally does that with all blushes. Some show more than most but the dermatologist told me it’s something to do with some production of something in my own skin. !!!!!!! My moms does the same. And one of my daughters. And you cracked me up wanting to bite them!!! 😂😂

I have these and it’s because you have a water based base underneath. Water makes them thinner I’ve found.

They definitely apply patchy virtually all the time. They have to be applied very specifically and quickly.. you want to swipe directly on the cheek (thats very wet/damp from your skincare still) and then immediately go in with a brush and tap around the edges- don’t go in the middle at all yet. Just do the edges and that will prevent the patchiness. If you blend out the edges immediately on damp skin, you won’t have any problems:) Miss Nikki La Rose did this tutorial and it works really well.. hope this helps!!❤

I have them in burst and chill. They stay for more than 24 hrs when applied directly from the tube! If i use a brush, they dont last long. I guess im lucky i dont have acne marks/ a lot of redness on my cheeks but i can see why people with them having problems with it. It's supposed to be natural looking, if ure naturally blushing all ur acne marks will be reddened as well 😂 My tips is to apply some sort of face oil, apply it to the face then apply from the tube or drop 1 drop and use finger to apply. I find that it prevent staining and gives more blending time

I don’t know anything about make up so don’t take this seriously but maybe they’re patchy because they get into your pores because it’s like a watery consistency but I’m just taking a wild guess and this might not be right

If it goes patchy it’s probably from it drying and being overworked. I still think it’s a fault of the product to have such a quick dry down but it’s also been overworked as a result

Personally what i do is that i put the amount i want on the meat on my palm that connects with my thumb and rub it a bit with the other chonk of meat that also connects to my other thumb on my other hand and then i just tap it on my cheeks Sorry for the confusing explanation.

I don't think its you, you seem to know your makeup really well. The drying down fast aspect concerns me, i think its drying in certain areas faster and thats causing patchiness. I really really want these but i think its the gimmicky jelly form its in is making me want it, have a feeling it won't be one of my go to items. I have 4x dupes from Amazon coming, they were cheap so i have a feeling that its too good to be true, i hope I'm wrong 😂
