Thanks. Yeah some machine parts are getting hard to find for a good price. I bought a brand new old stock 1" arbor 2" longer then the one I fixed but it cost me $225.73 after shipping. It was the cheapest one I could find that was 1" and would fit length wise . MSC Industrial Direct has one the same length as the one I bought for $599.11 + shipping! So to me it's well worth the effort to fix it. I prolly put 4 hours total fixing it so even if I charged myself $50.00 an hour it was still cheaper then the cheapest I could find. At least that was 1" diameter. I found some 7/8" shaft ones for a good price but all my tooling is 1"

You mean rocker arms off a car engine head? No there actual hold down clamps these are knock offs but the brand name of the real good ones are Rite Hite and I think Armstrong made them too... ebay Rite Hite clamps... I see what you are saying about rockers I never saw it till you just said! ... I'm have to grab a few see if they would work also. Would be good to make a few real small ones from an old car engine... thanks for the idea.
