Thanks for covering this one, Dan. I've been interested ever since hearing Knizia did a Feld game. In actuality what it reminds me of most is Azul Summer Pavilion with about half a dozen other things thrown in for good measure.

Great review! I know you said it shines at the 3 or 4 player count, but what do you think of it at 2? I'm intrigued by it, but most of my gaming is at 2 and I'm not sure if this one is worth it at that count

To be fair, the game works slightly differently at two as you discard two cards into the card pool rather than just the one, meaning that you still have to prioritise things. I just find it more interesting with more than one other person competing for actions spots. I would still play with 2, but I do think it's noticeably better with more.

I imported this one as am super excited to play it having enjoyed Witchstone, and generally being a knizia fan... But I haven't had an opportunity to table it at more than 2 players yet so have held off! From your review that sounds like the right decision! Thanks for the review!

There are suggested variants for two-players from Spielbox magazine and posted on BGG that nicely tighten up the two player experience. Witchstone does play better for two out of the box.
