Elizabeth Hewins This is my favorite performance as well. The perfect marriage of piano and guitar. I never get tired of listening to this. The entire concert was absolutely amazing. I love the way Freddie interacts with the audience, Christmas toast right before White Queen, ‘a delicate little number’ . So young and raw and perfect. This is the Queen I fell absolutely in love with in 1973. And never looked back.

This song is soooooo beautiful & Freddie Mercury's voice gives me chills !!!! ❤❤❤❤ He sings certain songs, and that beautiful powerful vibrato grabs the soul and pulls you in. Nobody nobody nobody can sing like Freddie Mercury and Queen is touring having Adam Lambert front them. I read something today about the band doing an album but it's not the same without John Deacon and Freddie Mercury. I respect John Deacon's desire to retire from music and live his life with his wife and six kids. I think every time he came home from tour he was knocking his wife up.😂❤😂 lol John Deacon was so cute and funny when he was being interviewed after Queen's News of the World Tour. Baaaahaa!! He was quiet but when he was funny he was hilarious. He could be a real crazy man when he broke loose at times. John was being interviewed and he told the interviewer that he loved his job and what he did for a living, but when the band would be on tour he really missed being home. The interviewer ask him a question about being at home and John replied, " yes, when we are all out on tour for two or three months at a time I miss being with my wife and three kids.". John then hesitated and shyly put his hand over his mouth and giggled, & moved his hand away from his mouth to tell the interviewer," yeah, me and my wife have three kids and I'm only 28" 😂😂😂😂 it was soop cute & funny!! The interviewer replied, " oh, you have three kids?". Funny! Rodger has five kids but they were spread out between 1980 and the 1990s. John had all of his between 1974 or 1975 up until about 1983. He didn't graduate from the University until May of 1974 and then I think he and his wife started popping them out right about the time they were getting ready to go on the sheer heart attack tour. Baaaaahaaa! Adam Lambert is a really really good vocalist and he had vocal lessons when he was younger for several years in addition to doing musical theater. He's a likable guy he's different than Freddie Mercury by far. I don't like the compare the two because they're two individual different people and I'm not being biased towards Freddie Mercury, but just honest. I don't consider or regatd any musician an icon or God because I reserve that word for my faith in God and I'm a Christian. The best musicians are legends!!!! Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury are in categories all by themselves, and those two are compared with that of Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra years ago. The Millennials know who Elvis Presley is for the most part but I don't know how many millennials are aware of who Frank Sinatra is. " mr. Blue eyes".. overall I think of Chuck Berry as a legend as well because it was great and I enjoyed his music just like some of Elvis's work. Brian and Rodger should have fun and live their lives, but as good as Adam Lambert is as a vocalist, he's nowhere near the caliber of Freddie Mercury. I'm sure poor Adam doesn't like being compared to Freddie at all but you can't help it when he's touring with the band. I saw some KZfaq video footage of Queen's performance in Australia for the fire Aid concert. IT WAS FABULOUS!! the two remaining members of Queen and the others who were performing with them did a phenomenal job that was out of this world in pouring down rain!! it was really awesome and Australia was getting some much-needed rain after having been through a drought and such a devastating wild fire ravage their continent.

Live at the odeon '75 and at the Rainbow were proof pudding that those four were destined for epic greatness! I read that Brian May also found inspiration for White Queen from an archetype/mythology book he was reading at the time called "The White Goddess" by Robert Graves. I highly recommend seven seas of rye live at the rainbow, its out of this world!

It wasn't a mistake, while Brian's guitar solo was amazing, they were focusing on Freddie's hands because he was also cutting it deep with his insane piano skills. While Freddie was their lead vocalist, he was also their pianist/ keyboardist and this song, the piano pretty much carries the weight of everything else. At least, that's how I saw it upon seeing this for the first time.

This went out live on BBCTV on Christmas Eve 1975. I remember it well. There were probably a limited number of cameras in them days. Plus Queen were only just becoming famous so the director probably didn't know the song very well and just concentrated on the lead singer....which was they always used to do in those days

Awesome reaction. Also this was Written by Brian May. I mean it is cool to see how Freddie plays the Piano because normally you don't do it like that, He always shortly raises his hands which for example I wouldn't do because that brings me out of the beat while playing piano, but really they should have switched the camera to Brian for half a part and Freddie for half a part because then you got to see more. I would randomly request Queen Live at the Rainbow (1974) - In the Lap of the Gods for a reaction. There you can hear Roger's beautiful Angel Falsetto Voice.

Freddie Mercury was a superior piano player but he didn't play the piano like they're trained even though he had lessons. Brian played the piano like one is supposed to holding their wrist up but not Freddie. Everyone has to find their own comfort zone and nowadays and for the past 20 years they would tell people they're going to get carpal tunnel syndrome if they play the piano that way.😂 Freddie Mercury didn't seem to have any problems with carpal tunnel even though it wasn't even known as a medical condition back then. This is such a beautiful song in Freddie Mercury voice gives me chills with his vibrato. He could sing anything! Their innuendo album was beautiful and despite him being terminally ill, very frai,l and in so much pain and tired, he would come into the studio when he was able even if only for an hour or two once or twice per week - and put our some of the most powerful vocals coming from his heart soul and tongue.❤ that's just a natural and he developed what God gave him naturally into something incredibly beautiful and Powerful

Brian should forever maintain his highest reverence for Freddie Mercury and his magnificent presentation of "White Queen". Brian should mirror Freddie's oft said amazement that the OperaDiva of Divas sang HIS/Freddie's music, i.e., check out Montserrat Caballe' and Ensueno or the entire "Barcelona" cd/slbum. But, I digress - - Freddie singing "White Queen", so beautifully emotional.

@@DreamersBall1113 Not pleased I threw that shade but I easily notice Brian putting Freddie negativity out there, for instance when talking about writing "Fat Bottomed Girls" saying he had Freddie in mind whether .... That wasn't necessary and when discussing "Scandal" downplaying his own personal relationship issues which were really 'hot' in British press - to include Freddie. Freddie never brought others into his explanations. Yes, I'm too Freddie sensitive...in fact my prayers last night asked God to help me overcome that. BTW a good thing...yesterday saw video of Brian speaking at Freddie's home plaque hanging ceremony. Brian was actually totally wonderful. Even admitted meeting Freddie thru Freddie's friendship with Tim Staffell...mostly he refers to Roger and him getting Freddie involved with Smile. I'm ok...got a lot of interest in Freddie's legacy remaining/being first class. Reminds me. I was totally crushed when the Australia Queen+Lambert Live-Aid Set concert benefitting the fire tragedy concluded with the film of Freddie yelling "F___k You" ...He had too much grace to yell it to the millions in Live-Aid 1985 and it should not have happened in 2020. It's not a perfect world and sometimes I feel it necessary to speak up. Nancy, I'm glad you, did cause I got to share the above that's on my heart. Take care out there. We're quarantined but well.

@@marvalstith2749 your post was 4 months ago but i happened across it today. I agree that there are some strange choices aka the 2020 australia feature of Freddie .... And i also hear undertones ... Maybe paying homage for. 30 years takes its toll and occasionally frustrations surface? Anyway just wanted to say that its not over sensitive to hear what is being said or indeed not said (aka the story line ofbthe Boh Rap film!) . Freddie never talked down any of the members of Queen.... The only one thing i ever heard him say was in response to an interviewer asking him about working with Brian "i havent hit him .... yet!!" And then went onto say that the fact they were all different and were passionate about what they believed in was a good thing. He never left a potential slur out there ..unless he really meant it (aka Sheffield grrr ) . mind you i bet he could be "exacting" to work with sometimes.. Such a perfectionist ...on that note ... Ciao and Stay safe.

you got my subscription today for one reason . Ive watched a few of your videos so far , and it is apparent to me that 1) you are probably a musician yourself..because you do something not many people do anymore. You really listen , and you really hear the music. Whats more it is apparent you FEEL the music in a real way. It is a joy watching YOU, enjoy Queens music the way I did as that young teen of 13 years old walking down the street in 1975, when I heard this remarkable band for the first time coming from a music store I had passed by in Ashtabula Ohio. I was stopped dead in my tracks , because I had NEVER to that date heard anything quite like the sounds and craftsmanship I heard come from that record playing in that store that day . The song was "Killer Queen". And I have been a life long fan of this band every day since. In fact it was Brian Mays remarkable violin like guitar style that started me playing guitar , playing in bands over the years and doing some studio work.Keep feeling the music and sharing these wonderful true talents with today's generation. God Knows the music world needs to be reminded what real unprocessed raw talent really looks like ! PS I just read your bio....heheh should have read it before my comment apparently I was right you are a musician and producer....as I suspected.

Good that you didn't mention the song title, because it's strange, but reactions to this one song (and also the all times classic 'Live Aid' from 1985) are the two Queen videos which are in highest danger to be put down by youtube. Most of the other Queen reactions, either to official videos or live performances are not as much in danger to have copyright issues. Live Aid is wonderful, but you have to interrupt a lot to avoid to be put down. If you're not afraid of your heart to be broken, please react to Queen live in Montreal '81, "Save me". Brings me to tears every time anew. The intensity is unbelievable.

Have you reacted to Brian’s or Rogers solo work? Brian did a concert in 93, it was outstanding Cozy Powell played the drums. It’s live at the Brixton Academy, Tie your Mother Down, Headlong, Driven by You, Hammer to Fall. Brian sings lead & plays his guitar. He will show what a fast pace concert is all about. 💥💥

I’m a diehard fan, yes this was another spectacular live performance. Freddie is one of the few that sounds just as good live as he does in a recording. Love your reaction to this😃 Another favorited mine, You take my breath away, live at Hyde park, check it out if you haven’t already!

Great!!!! John Deacon's fave b/c he just loved it and a lot of it had to do with that opening Baseline I'm sure and the whole song has a lot of bass in it.

You are just about the first reactor I have seen that recognized the brilliance of the guitar part immediately. Yes, Freddie is mesmerizing but come on, Brian should have gotten more attention as he was shredding and as the song writer. Thank you for recognizing that!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Thank you!! Lap of the Gods 1974 Hammersmith Live. Glad to hear that you do producing yourself. Brian May sad that the band didn't make any money off of their chores until 1986 & it was because it was their last tour together. Once they were making money after leaving Trident, Queen paid off all of their debts and was sued by Trident because of "Death on 2 legs" Trident denied that song was about them at first but then they filed suit against Queen. Queen settled but they were still Superstars by then and made a lot of money. Well deserved & past due. 😂😂 Brian May said that after their night at the Opera tore all of the money they made from touring they put into their next tour. Everything was about more lights, sound, crew members, Roadies, etc... Queen did this all for their fans and to make their live shows even better. The thing is they went out and 1985 for their Live Aid performance at 6:30 with no lights and no backdrops or anyting and they still stole the show from everyone and kicked butt. GREAT Talent, and four fabulous/genius musicians who worked together and took their job more professionally than most bands.

This is such a pretty melody and as always a treat to hear you play for us, thank you! I hope this song gets a lot of attention this holiday, it is a breath of fresh air amid the traditional mix of carols and sadly there will be no actual caroling this year to warm our souls. I have been meeting up with the same group of people here in Old Town, Albuquerque for years to sing in the Plaza the Saturday and Sunday evenings before Christmas. We don't know one another but we sing well together so it has become a tradition that I will miss this year. I sure do miss the old days when radio music was what we all had and seasonal songs were everywhere. Admittedly though, I haven't really missed the long version of Alice's Restaurant on Thanksgiving, that lead us into the seasonal Christmas music. Perhaps there will be groups of virtual caroling going on, that would be great to have as an alternative.

Love of my Life, live in Rio, with more than 300.000 fans singing back to Freddie. The Show must go on is a category on its own, one of Freddie's last songs, when he knew he will be dying soon. Heartbreaking and powerful at the same time. No live version, only a snippets video, I'd prefer the lyrics version in order not to be distracted.

Whoever was shooting the video focus on Freddie Mercury's hands because of his black fingernails!! It was not a super common thing back then, but it was part of Freddie Mercury and the band Glam Rock progressive rock image. Freddie Mercury would usually dressed in white and either have black fingernails or black fingernails on one hand and white fingernails on the other. You're absolutely correct and the video should have been focused more on Brian made during the guitar solo, but it was the fingernails.haha!

I love the haunting medieval feel of this song. I'm finding that their early stuff is incredibly creative. I think Brian May wrote this before Queen, when he was still with Smile. If that's true, then no one else was doing this kind of stuff at the time. Of course, we have Zeppelin and Bowie doing these kind of themes, but that was several years after this was written. They were pioneers in so many aspects and I don't think anyone has matched them in terms of creativity, skill and pure talent.

Wish you’d do “Now I’m Here” live from Wembley 1986 - talk about the whole band jamming! Roger said it was the hardest song of theirs to play for him. The cameras catch each member playing their asses off, lol. I see a good many of your Queen reactions have over 10K + views so please do more! 🎶🔥🎶🤗🎶

Thank you! Yeah - hella great performance - and as noted below, Brian's song -- he is not, however, a "showboat" when it comes to performing - more likely to step back and forward - so focused and perfectionist! (he was my first real "rock-star" crush - still not quite over it -- he gets better and better with age, and the more I see and know of him ) :) You might enjoy "'39" - but if you listen, make sure you get the lyrics... all Brian, all day...
