Duffy was 12 when he, his dad and I shared a loft in Freeport, Long Island, NY. I was Chubby's vibes player at the time. We lived together, and so played any hour day or night, and Duffy was a cookin' drummer back then! I'll be 93 April 1st, and miss 'em all!

Oh those late summer nights under the olive trees or in the Roman arena. Great memories for me from 1980 for 15 years.

Benedetto 7-string with nylon tape wound strings.

Great jazz, few good players left. Lots of new players, some very good. You need experience to play real jazz. This is an amazing combination of great players!

Jimmy Rowles does absolutely nothing for me, while the rest of the personnel are stellar. Duffy I didn't know, be he's on it every step of the way.
