Check out the M12 Heated Hoodie at Home Depot here -- www.homedepot.c...
For the last 2 weeks, I have been wearing the new Milwaukee M12 Heated Hoodie (model # 2381) every day. It is extremely comfortable, lightweight, and when you turn it on.....it gets VERY warm!
The cool thing about the Milwaukee Hoodie, is not only can you power it off of the included M12 battery --- but you can also power it from a M18 battery (with power port adapter) & also using your 12v cigarette outlet in your vehicle!
They even designed these to be machine washable/dry-able (which I test in the video) so you dont have to wear a dirty hoodie all winter long. My only suggestion is to wash them on "delicate mode", so your washing machine doesnt chew them up/damage them (like mine likes to with blue jeans).
I am 6'2" & 175lbs, so I went with the large size version. I like the fact that when I extend my arms, the sleeves still end at my wrists & it doesnt feel like it is too small for me. Also, because it is form fitting, I will be able to wear a light jacket over top of it this winter as the temps start to drop outside.
These are for sale at the Home Depot, and the kits come with a Hoodie, charger, battery adapter, and one M12 1.5ah compact battery.
Check out the video to see them for yourself!

I bought my heated hoodie last year -- kind of like a Christmas Present for myself. Works great all of the time in my opinion. My wife usually is the one who does the laundry, so I never really bother with it in that aspect. Lately, I was wanting to wash it myself as it is starting to get dirty. To my dismay, I couldn't remember how she washed it. So, fortunately for me I found your video on it. Great video btw! More than anything, I just wanted to make sure I didn't accidentally bleach out my black jacket! Nice and clean and now it doesn't smell like a friggin' machine shop...for now.

Milwaukee should add heated pockets and heated hood to this hoodie.

I just bought the Milwaukee heated jacket and i have to say it is very comfortable and looks great. I already had a ton of M12 batteries so running out of power is not an issue. Even if i didnt have extra batteries, they charge real fast. Plus, I'm a rollin' phone charger at the same time.

I've had his hoodie for a few months and would not recommend buying it. It's nicely made. It looks great. It's light. The issue, for me, is that it's no warmer than a slightly thicker hoodie without batteries. You don't get a lot of heat for the inconvenience of having a battery pack jabbing you in the kidney every time you sit down. It certainly works and is a neat idea. When you consider a thick, good quality hoodie is probably worth $40~50, you don't pay a lot more for the Milwaukee so it's not very expensive to try. I still love Milwaukee, I just wouldn't buy this item again.

Tom Brown I actually really like hoodie....the fact that it is lightweight is a huge plus for me, since usually I was wearing an insulated hoodie from Cabelas for the last few years & for simple things like when I was driving, just lifting my arms up on the wheel, I could feel it pulling them back down since the Cabelas hoodie was so thick & non-giving. Also, as it gets colder, I usually wear a hoodie underneath of a jacket....the Cabelas was thick already & once you add another layer, it is downright uncomfortable unless you are standing. The M12 does not have this issue & by adding a layer, you really increase the heat retention. Since I have switched to the M12, no more issues & if I get cold I just turn it on low & all is back comfortable in a minute or two. Keep in mind that it comes with the battery & charger....so that is a big part of the cost.

I would be a buyer of these when they come out with heated pants. My legs are always cold. That 18 volt battery looks uncomfortable if you have to have it in a pocket in the hoodie. I really like the flexibility with the car charger, being able to charge USB devices and also being able to use both the m18 as well as the m12 batteries. What's the run time of the hoodie on all three settings using the compact m12 battery?
@RealToolReviews
@RealToolReviews 9 жыл бұрын
Love2boat92 Yeah I would not suggest putting any of the M18 packs in the battery pocket...I only use them with that extension cord. The M12 hoodie kit has a plain "m12 battery adapter" that only powers the hoodies...but the M12 jacket kits have the upgraded "m12 power points" that power the jacket and also have the USB port on them too. I dont know exact runtimes, because I switch between the heat settings a lot depending on how cold I am. I would guess that on low it would be 3-3.5hours...medium 1.5-2 hours....and on high around an hour. Keep in mind that is the lowest 1.5ah pack though.

Mike L.Thanks Mike! Apparently if you wear your heated hoodie in a nice restaurant with your wife, and you get cold...you arent supposed to turn it on and "show off".....so the black does match, but the bright light can still get you in trouble. :)

I don't like this product nearly as much as one of the other heated hoodies that came out. However, what this product has that the others don't have is the ability to plug this directly into your cigarette lighter. When you would need to do this is beyond me, but it's nice to have this option. However, I have found the the two competitors to this product have made thicker hoodies, and that's what I prefer.

The jackets and vehicle charger are out of stock everywhere (though I was able to pick up a hoodie). Think Milwaukee is redesigning them, or are they just that popular that nobody can keep them in stock?
@RealToolReviews
@RealToolReviews 9 жыл бұрын
Ben Woodruff I think they are a seasonal thing with limited supply.....it seems that after Christmas they clearance them out everywhere & they dont show up again until the fall. I would assume that they will continue to release new versions every year to keep up with demand (why make the same jacket year after year.....people like a change!) :)

Great review, Sir! I've been waiting on your reviews before purchasing. Will you be showcasing the heated jackets as well? Also, i've heard that the M18 battery packs don't fit so well in the hoodies. Have you found this to be the case? As always, thank you for uploading!

Robert Johnson Thanks Robert! Yep, I will be reviewing the Milwaukee Heated Jacket (mens & womens), the new Milwaukee 3-in-1 camo heated jacket, and a Bosch (men & womens) heated jacket this month. Also, yes I would NOT recommend trying to use the M18 (full size 4.0) pack inside the battery pocket. I would only use one in conjunction with that 12v outlet adapter cord extension.

Sc M From what I have seen online, I think low = 80-85 degrees, med = 90-95, and high = 110-115 or so. I dont have exact numbers, but you will get uncomfortably hot on high unless it is really cold outside. 95% of the time I keep it on low.

Lil' Mule Thanks! It gets uncomfortably hot on high....at least in fall weather....I usually keep it on low. I think even when it is below freezing, at worst you could put a light jacket on over it & stay extremely warm. I would suggest getting that cigarette outlet adapter if you are going to be stationary & not go with relying solely on batteries.

Real Tool Reviews is there a warrantee on these products? Hoping mine is just that one in a thousand that happened to fail. Love the idea, but to pay a hundred plus dollars for a product that fails after ten uses is just not economically feasible, not to mention those single digit days when I'm outside and the hoodie lets me down.
