I had a lot of old pipes and rebar to cut up and from what I read kzfaq.infoUgkxPDBfLu68o58Aw85O_J-zIFfjJARBhp-3 this would be the tool for the job. Since I had never used one, I watched a couple of youtube videos and I'm so glad I did. Some really good safety tips, which I followed, and this tool did a splendid job. One good thing to know is the weight of the tool puts just about the right amount of pressure on the metal I was cutting, so I didn't have to use a lot of pressure, which is more likely to jam the tool. It made fast work of my job.

Do you find with the paddle switch you have to press it ALL the way in for it to work ? I have one and when you press the switch and then you here the switch click, you have yo continue pressing it even further before it powers on. The older toggle switch seems to work better to me.

I know you posted this awhile back, but just wanted to say thanks for sharing! Didn't know you could use a diamond blade on a grinder. I was tackling a kitchen with floor vents, after my prelay tiles shifted about 1/4 of inch or so, and this method helped out a lot. Looking forward to trying this with a toilet flange. Thanks again

those gloves are Ironclad's Motor Impact series, pretty great at protecting hands. Tough call on the M18 vs FlexVolt. Both have lots of power to cut, grind, or sand. I'd need to get more experience with them. Milwaukee does give you a hard case, something I really like because it protects the tool. FlexVolt allows the motor housing to be turned 90 degrees and improve ergonomics...both are great tools...it's like Sophie's choice

My corded grinder is on the entry level of grinders, but it has a handle that can rotate with a trigger which I didn't think would be that nice, but I like it quite a bit. That feature on this grinder would be really cool.

as long as the bolts connecting the gear case to the grinders body are in a symetrical (square) fashion and not offset (rectangular) than you can title the head, doesnt affect grinder operation or strength any the ring and pinion dont know/care what orientation theyre in, however im not sure if the put the bolts in a pattern that can be shifted 90 degrees

Shekky Bowen the brushed is a toy compared to the fuel. the fuel is almost corded performance. add a 9.0 battery and ur good to go. check my channel to see all my Milwaukee tools
@AndrewBrowner
@AndrewBrowner 7 жыл бұрын
you should do a test comparing brushed ,milwuakee tools to brushless and possibly a quick video showing how the grinder performs on a 3or4 amp hour versus the 9.0 i just picked up the brushed version for 99$ (fuel was 239$) and already had some XC3.0 batteries. the grinder does good when the batteries are full but when they get to 1/2 bars left the grinder really lacks power and trips off alot id like to get a 9.0 and try it out however i noticed the grinder gets really hot and ive managed to overheat it without using up the 3.0xc battery so that worries me was only about 10 celcius out when that happened whats yourfeedback/opinion on all this?
@crunch9876
@crunch9876 6 жыл бұрын
Shekky Bowen brushless isn’t really that much better and not a reason by itself to upgrade....battery last a little longer and that’s about it maybe the tool itself will also last longer....

The Cut has nothing to do with the tool, what is important is how hot does it get during use? As well show how long the battery last's before having to switch to a new one. This wasn't a review of any kind, i can buy a 40$ grinder and perform the same task without any issues... what matters is if it will do it all day everyday, this video is more about wanting free tools for saying good things, rather than actually putting it to the metal and seeing how hot she trots.

It's OK, way overpriced, paddle switch annoying, and the brake is a useless feature! Nice grinder for half the price! 8000 rpm is perfect for wire wheels, flap disc, and light work! Too slow for heavy work, buy a nine inch Makita for the same price.
