Get the M18 FUEL Sawzall at Amazon --- www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_nos...
Here is my follow up video explaining the Quik-Lok blade retention system -- • Quik-Lok Blade Change ...
Check out the full specs here -- www.milwaukeetool.com/power-to...
2720-20 - Sawzall only (no case, batteries, or charger)
2720-21 - (Kit) Sawzall, case, charger, & 1 battery
2720-22 - (Kit) Sawzall, case, charger, & 2 batteries
This is my complete review, as well as many "action clips" of the M18 FUEL Sawzall with Red Lithium XC 4.0 batteries.
I used it on a vast range of projects, and was able to record many of them for you to see. In this video I will show you the 2720-20 Sawzall itself, the case/charger/batteries, and a lot of "action clips" showing this tool being used.
It helps me remove a 4" diesel exhaust pipe, slices through a thick steel pole, cuts through water-filled plumbing pipes, prunes trees, cuts wood boards, metal electrical conduit, and even cuts a hardened maple bowling pin in half!
I got this to replace an older corded reciprocating saw that I have used for years, and I am amazed with the power & speed that the M18 FUEL has! I think after you watch this video, you will be as impressed as I am.

I bought two of this M18 brushless sawzall. I love it for yard works. I bought a brand new Super Sawzall but it broke within a week. I returned it back to Milwaukee eService Center for repair twice within a month. I contacted the customer service few times without resolved my issue. I filed an online complaint and I got a brand new Super Sawzall within a week. The customer service team lead was so nice to email me a new replacement super sawzall was on the way. Thank goodness for the team lead of the Customer Service center. I am very happy with my brand new super sawzall. It took down trees and trim branches nicely with its 12 Ah battery. Yard works are more fun then any thing with my Super Sawzall and Sawzalls.

I have two of this Milwaukee M18 Fuel Brushless sawzalls with a 5 Ah and a 9 Ah batteries. This is a great tool for yard works cutting tree branches. I also bought a Milwaukee M18 Fuel Brushless Super Sawzall with a 12 Ah battery. Super sawzall is more powerful than this sawzall with orbital/linear and speed limit switches. Just my Super Sawzall quality is not good. It broke down within a week used only one full charged battery. It is back to Milwaukee eservice center in MS for repair or replacement. I wish Milwaukee will ship me a new one.

Its one of those tools that once you have it, you will use it...I think that the bare tool option is fine, as long as you already own a couple of the XC 4.0 batteries. That hook that they built on the side is extremely convenient to hang it up anywhere you want....I personally keep it hanging on the shop press. Thanks!

Picked up the base/brushed Milwaukee Sawsall in a large combo kit (2621-20). It definitely is not this Fuel model but? Milwaukee stuck with refining development in even their brushed model and even though it is slower/less featured than the 2720 Fuel, it is so smooth and unmistakably of high quality. Probably won’t invest in this particular model because of my original investment with reciprocating and only occasional use? This sure looks like a great tool.....along with a great review. Thanks

Ok, I'm switching to the fuel line slowly. Just ungraded to the fuel M12 hackzall. Working great. I've always hated cordless sawzalls. Whenever I got on the job, the battery would be half dead and the power would just be terrible. Man this newer technology seems very good. It's time to cut the cords. I'm a plumber and your water explanation has me sold. Great review, your the first one to have such a detailed review and no one ever mentioned the water bushing.
@RealToolReviews
@RealToolReviews 9 жыл бұрын
Mike Mags Thanks Mike! I am glad you liked the review! As far as the water bushing, I definitely thought that it was a good idea not only to mention, but also show in action with that water pipe demonstration. Anytime I mix water & electricity....I usually regret it! I specifically asked the product development team about that & they described how they designed the tool & motor specifically for plumbers & the conditions that you have to work in. Thanks for watching!

I should have told you that we have a band saw at school and other cutting equipment but I want to use a sawzall while the part is still mounted in the lathe. I need something portable and have the hackzall m12 but I am going to return it today for the m18 version. I love all of the Milwaukee tools and already have their new impact and hammer drill. There equipment is turning heads with new product development and incredible features. Keep up the great reviews!

I have used the regular M12, regular M18, and new M12 FUEL Hackzall....The M18 & M12 FUEL are very similar with speed & power....definitely a big upgrade over the normal M12 version. This particular M18 FUEL Sawzall is amazingly powerful, and if you got the M18 Hackzall it would use the same batteries between the two. Keep in mind that the Sawzall is always going to be faster, since even though they both have 3,000 strokes per minute, the Hackzall only has about 1/2 the stroke length (aka teeth touching per stroke). So at minimum the Sawzall is twice as fast.

There are a few corded reciprocating saw brands that have the same protective seal by the blade to keep water out. And Panasonic has a 18 volt brushless reciprocating saw that is IP56 rated that I've seen being used under water to repair an old fishing dock.
@RealToolReviews
@RealToolReviews 10 жыл бұрын
Interesting, I didnt know other manufacturers had any protective seals for the motors/gearboxes yet. I would be very hesitant though I think about using anything that plugs in the wall while around water....the underwater Panasonic would be cool to see.....I dont think I would try that w/my power tools though.... haha

Excellent review!!! You covered all the bases. I am going to school now for machining and I am wondering what blade I should use to cut off 1/2" to 2" solid aluminum and steel. I have used diablo blades in the past but I like what I'm seeing with the Milwaukee blades!!!
@RealToolReviews
@RealToolReviews 10 жыл бұрын
Well thanks! Blade-wise I would use the Milwaukee Torch blades for any type of metal cutting. But if you are going to be cutting much thick metal, you may want to look into getting a bandsaw (portaband)....I have the new M18 FUEL Bandsaw coming soon, and I will be doing a lot of metal cutting tests with it. Also, a grinder with metal cutting discs would be the cheapest option....and remember, Milwaukee power tools typically have a 5 year warranty....VS a 1-2 year with a lot of brands you are going to see sitting on the shelf at the store.

dmcguinn1 Don't know if you're aware, but here in the UK, Milwaukee only provide a maximum of 3 year warranty on all of their tools including the fuel lines, while in the USA, you get 5 years. (not to mention they are also priced more)

Got a 3 tool M12 (Gen 1) kit earlier, including hackzall and two batteries. But It's going back (unused) - it was a good deal but I realize it's not gonna be able to do what I need it to do. Now I'm looking at maybe just an M18 Fuel hackzall, or a straight up M18 (Fuel?) sawzall. I don't need that "onekey" gimmick, haha, so is this the newest one before the model with onekey? Another great video review. Thanks.

Thanks! Yeah, I try to show the tool being used in all circumstances, not just automotive related ones.....I absolutely think that the Milwaukee M18 FUEL line has raised the bar for cordless tools & I am very happy about it! ***** "FUEL" is Milwaukee's way of saying that it has the newest technology inside, which means upgraded electronics, a brushless motor (vs brushed), more power, more runtime, and a longer motor life.
@RealToolReviews

***** I suppose.....but there are other upgrades other than only the motor. That is just the most noticeable difference. It is definitely the "top model" of any similar tool in that category from Milwaukee.

Хорошая пила. Я такую использую с аккумуляторами 9Ач. После того как попробовал пилить с 9Ач аккумулятором 5Ач уже и не устанавливаю. У меня есть пила Хилти с аккумуляторами 3.3Ач. HILTI WSR 18-A. Так Milwaukee 2720 пилит явно шустрее. Ее и использую в последнее время. Хилтя отдыхает (в прямом и переносном смысле). Хороший инструмент делает Милуоки! Жаль он мало представлен у нас в Украине.

Hi there! Thanks for your lively and to-the-point presentation. As constructive criticism, I'd like to make the following comment. I do not doubt this saw's ability to cut pretty much anything I can throw at it. If there was doubt about that, Milwaukee would not be trying to sell this tool. What is far more important to me as a contractor is battery life. Were you able to make all those cuts on a single charge? If not, how many recharges were needed? The reason I ask is that if I have to invest in not only the cordless tool, but also 2+ batteries rated for 5 amp/hour, this becomes far too expensive. Thanks again for the vid.

@RealToolReviews
@RealToolReviews 9 жыл бұрын
+Nicholas Takács It has been over a year since I made this video....I am sure they are long gone by now. The main thing to keep in mind with recip saw blades is the teeth will wear out/break quickly if the material you are cutting is loose (i.e. --- metal bouncing around)....as long as the material is secure & stable, the blades last a lot longer.

If the batteries freeze/get left in a truck in the middle of summer & cook.....if the tool has been dropped, etc......many things quickly shorten the life of power tools & it is a gamble when you are looking at used ones. If the price is right though, it is definitely hard to say no! :)
