-------------------------------------------------------------------
The NEW Milwaukee M18 FUEL SAWZALL Reciprocating Saw might be the most durable SAWZALL made by Milwaukee Tool Yet. The New Milwaukee M18 FUEL SAWZALL Reciprocating Saw was built from the ground-up with key durability improvements to enhance its life amid the harshest jobsite environment. We set out to try to test some of these new features that should help the new SAWZALL to live a longer life and be more reliable.
One of the more notable upgrades is the metal-reinforced battery connection for improved durability and battery retention. This allowed us to do some great testing with our truck. It held up better than any other tool we have put through this test.
There is a new blade-change lever for fast and easy blade changes that has been upgraded to be more wear-resistant. This beefier design is welcomed for those who use these tools in sandy areas and also for metal cutting as there is a lot of heat build-up that can affect the older style.
A new style shoe adjustment button was added to remove the older lever that was not always the easiest to get in place and also could get in the way.
Of course, there are new motors, electronics, and technology. This is still one of the best performing SAWZALLs on the market, just more reliable and durable!

Great video! It’d be cool to see a longevity test while cutting. Not sure if this has been requested in the past or if you have a video with this already (didn’t see one) also can’t find anyone who’s made a video showing that. It’d be cool to see how long a battery/saw lasts by cutting multiple boards; type and nail imbedded. I do demo and what I care about is the tool lasting all day. The Ideal saw/battery would be one that last all day on one battery and not too heavy. If not one battery then a charger battery combo that can charge fully before the other battery dies so I can keep swapping keep cutting. Don’t care too much about anything but cutting and lasting.

I like the newer shoe adjustment better the lever on my Milwaukee super sawzall gets stuck around the rubber overmold when trying to adjust the shoe a ton hopefully they will release a super sawzall with these new features wish the super sawzall had a one key model maybe they will give us that like this newer sawzall model @WorkshopAddict

I had a look at the part breakouts for these sawa. The 2720 has the ring gear and crank/counter weight in two pieces. This is likely so they can slip in case of a blade jam. The 2821 has a one piece ring gear / crank / weight. This saves weight but not as durable.

My Milwauckee M18 CSX only works for a second or two and shuts itself off. After that, the LED turns on and off 6 times with small pauses? Also, when I press the switch sometimes the diode just lights up 4 times with a short pause and the saw doesn't work? When it appears, then I have to remove and insert the battery again (to erase the error) and then the saw works again for a short time? As far as I can see, the mechanics are correct. I found the machine in the trash and saw replacement didn't work. I cleaned and lubricated the clamping head, but there is no metal support and maybe that is the reason for the failure (protection)?

I have the older 2720. I have had the blade release collar jam on me SO many times. I'm not talking a jam you can just unjam. I'm talking the rotating collar literally slips OVER the top if the inner piece to where you cannot resolve it without disassembly. The first time I sent it in for service under warranty and had a milwaukee dealer fix it. The second time I didn't have time to wait on the project, called milwaukee support, got disassembly instructions and fixed it myself. The third time was today and I am just completely DONE. Three separate projects completely derailed for a home owner who rarely even utilizes this tool. I can't imagine how quickly a 2720 would fail on a jobsite. After watching your video I'm going to give Milwaukee one more shot and I'll try the 2821 because it looks like they really beefed up the collar system. I swear if it does the "slip over jam" on me again, I'm shipping milwaukee both of the saws and demanding recompense. I have so many M18 tools I have zero issues with and somehow Milwaukee is screwing up on the sawzall - the tool they literally put on the map. Thanks for this video my man. It gives me hope. I desperately want projects to stop getting derailed.

As always Brian excellent walk through on this new Sawzall! I definitely agree with you about the metal-reinforced battery slot being carried over to all of their tools. I think every cordless tool company should do that. Do you like the new way to actuate the blade guard? Seems like the button on each side might be cumbersome if you’re wearing thicker gloves or just have stubby fingers ya know? What do you think compared to the older way (which I like).

I wish they made a razor knife blade for recipe saws for cutting meat off a deer or on cardboard
@WorkshopAddict
@WorkshopAddict 3 жыл бұрын
I make my own with old blades. It is super simple to grind a blade down to a knife. I do not use it on meat much as it is not needed with a good quality knife. For example, on the neck of a deer, I cut the meat with a knife then use a pruning blade to cut the bones. A normal blade does not cut meat well at all.
