Nice tools! Even through I have never owned a right angle like this, that's has been plenty of instances where I've need one. I do have the Dewalt right angle conversion bit for a drill, but sometimes it just does not cut it. Again though, nice tools.

They look nice and smaller than the Ridgid Jobmax. I have the Jobmax system and being able to change and rotate heads easily is a surprisingly useful function when doing automotive work. I just wish they had leds on the top of the tool as well.

Converting in/lb to ft/lb is the same as converting in to ft... just divide by 12. So 350-675in/lb converts to 29.2-56.3lb/ft which is pretty close to the 30-60lb/ft of the other tool.

I have a brake job on the silverado to do and this looks like the perfect impact wrench for the job. Fan clutch job anyone? The 3/8 impact wrench is 30 ft-pounds in 1st speed and 60 ft-pounds in 2nd speed. I think the hex impact is about 5 ft-pounds less. Gonna get it!

So, the one Dan broke goes in the ultimate tool bag? lol I saw these at the Milwaukee event I believe, and I gotta say, I've been waiting for dewalt to come out with this tool, and no such luck. A right angle impact is surprisingly useful. We get the Makita 18v ones at work. They get into tight places, and odd angles that would be uncomfortable for most pistol grip T style drills or impacts.

Ridgid has the removable heads with the "Jobmate" system. I use right angle impact driver attachment and it screws in fasteners pretty good, plus has it multiple heads like a ratchet,a jigsaw, a oscillating saw, a palm nailer, a receip saw, a right angle drill. It also works with Ryobi's 18V "one plus" multi-tool system. That head attachment looks like a real pain to remove and install, and I know I'll lose that screw.

I agree would be nice if you could quick change the heads, but you lose the led when you turn it. I would probably get the driver and just put an adapter on for the wrench. This would be great for a mechanic for those tight spots. I would like to see tools come with a small pack and a large battery pack. I got mine with large batteries which are nice but the small ones would be handy for keeping the tool lighter or for shallower spots. I still think m12s are in my future for tools that need to get into smaller areas.

I really like them. Would be very handy while working on my jeep instead of using a air ratchet. I didn't realize that the heads were that hard to take off; I'm sure that they just need to be broken in.

My guess is why one is rated in ft lbs and the other is inch lbs is cause the one that does sockets the sockets will do more torque than the quick release style style.
@wookieegoldberg
@wookieegoldberg 9 жыл бұрын
The in/lb units might be more to do with the 1/4" size than the attachment type (innie-hex vs outie-square). I have a 1/4" square-drive torque wrench that's marked with in/lb even though it's for sockets, while the same tool in 3/8" is marked ft/lb. The 2 tools in the video are pretty evenly matched in the torque department after doing the conversion. The 3/8" square drive is 30-60lb/ft and the 1/4" quick release 29.2-56.3lb/ft (350-675in/lb) which is pretty close.
@Mopardude
@Mopardude 9 жыл бұрын
Typically on drills the 1/4 square drive impacts put out a lot less torque than there 1/2 inch counter parts. That's what I had in my mind I didn't realize the other tool was a 3/8 drive so you are probably right. Kinda hard to wrap my head around it still thought because you wouldn't think a 1/4 square drill could take the beating that a 3/8 socket could.

I think they could have made it similar to the Rigid job max with interchangeable heads. Obviously it would be a new system if they wanted it to. having to buy two separate tools kinda sucks in my opinion. These seem to be not as well throughout as other Milwaukee tools. They were made too get a tool into the market as soon as possible it seems like to me. If I really had a need for one I would get it your always fighting fasteners in applications everyday it seems from auto repair, electrical work, plumbing, and just doing things like basic installs. I think the 1/4 hex is the most handy out of all of them.

I want to love these but they don't have enough torque to make them more useful. I had the m12 right angle impact and I was seriously un-impressed and disappointed so much I took it back. It seemed to me that 35ft/lbs is basically finger tight. The only way it's useful is if your doing a lot of fastening in tight spots. Other wise I'm better off using a universal joint and socket extension with my impact driver.

I used my dewalt right angle attatchment drilling holes through 2x4s with paddlebits and the grease started coming out, then it started coming apart they are great just watch the tourqe on the right angle attatchments and I lost my 1/4" hex unibit drilling holes in metal studs in finished walls for adding receptacles. I wish they had a quick LOCK.

Cool tool but If you're gonna make it possible to remove the head then I think they should come with the two options, quarter hex and square then they would cover all the bases. Maybe they offer an option to buy the other head separately but if you have to buy the complete tool to get the other option then shame on Milwaukee! Be useful for automotive for sure, theres some awkward places and small bolts on modern engines!
