Just picked this kit up from Total tools on clearance, came with 2x 3.0ah m18 batteries and a charger base. $469 down from $750(ish) Came here for a quick run down on set up and use. Thanks for uploading the demo mate.

The batteries are loose on purpose (at least on the high torque 1/2” impact wrench) because it reduces vibration which will reduce the life time of the circuitry inside the battery, allegedly.

Yeah right, didn’t know that 👍🏻

Thanks for the review. I’m looking at getting the plunge base. Does it accept Porter Cable router guide bushings? Would like to point out that you should be routing from left to right in your demonstration. For example if you are going around the outside of a frame you go anticlockwise around the outside perimeter. If you routing around the inside of a frame you go in clockwise direction. Otherwise you can get what is called “climb cut.” John Jensen from British Columbia, Canada

Thanks for the feedback, I haven’t got the Porter cable bushings to comment, however it does accept milescraft stuff and universal baseplates so I don’t see why not

I just bought the m18 router and plunge base. Im new to using a router. I saw you have the milescraft circle jog as well. I bought that too. My question is can and how can you cut a circle with this router on 2x4’s you pocket screwed together? Can you explain how to adjust the depth or are there longer bits you can buy Can you maybe post a video showing how to do this as well? Thanks

Hey Lauren, with the first question did you want to cut a circle right through 2x4s ? If so this router is not capable of cutting the 45mm deep safely, better off using a holesaw or bandsaw You can get longer plunge bits to cut deeper, in this demo I was cutting 15mm media, I could comfortably cut to a depth of 20mm with this router and plunge base. You can also pull the router bit out a 1/3 of its depth on the shank to give you more depth but a longer bit is recommended I will do a vid on the Milescraft jig as it is a great bit of kit coupled with this router, thanks for the suggestion 😀 Thanks for watching

I think people aren’t unlocking the clamp before they micro adjust it. Nobody reads directions

I agree, never had a problem, easy as to use

How can the micro adjustment be 1/64 of an inch? A full turn of that bolt is more than that.

Maybe they mean each dot is 1/64 of an inch, that would be a total of 4/64 (1/16) per turn.

@Homeonthetools thx for answer. I buy 6.35 and it's not fit. What I need to do?
@Homeonthetools
@Homeonthetools 4 ай бұрын
@davidda7287 it should fit, when you use the collar lock (red button) use the 17mm spanner to fully unlock the collar, it has two grab points and needs to be fully loosened to fit the shank of the bit, give that a try

@Homeonthetools I took meter and it's 5.10 mm in the collet. What bit shank I need to buy?

@@davidda7287 hey mate sounds like your not having much luck, can only speak for the bits I use which are carbitool 1/4 inch shank, can get from total tools or Sydney tools if in Australia, super common size
