I have the newer Milwaukee wet dry vacuum I love it I got it on sale for $150 with a charger and a 5aH battery it’s not as powerful as a regular corded vac but it’s so convenient if you need to clean something no looking for outlets and no plugs

It's a Milwaukee🌼 what more do you need to know! Great vacuum! Definitely need a good battery, charge lasts just long enough for me to vacuum my truck. Much easier than dragging a big shop vac and cords around!

can you use non Makita hoses on it? I want to know if I could hook up my 15 foot Rigid hose, it's a bigger diameter hose but I could get a 1 1/4 to 1" adapter. I'm just not sure if it would work. From the video it looks like it could be a problem hooking up a non Makita hose.

I'm still waiting for Milwaukee to make this in a brushless FUEL version. They went brushless with their backpack version over a year ago. If they didn't require a 4 year degree I'd be applying in their product innovation and development department. That would be my dream job.
@Therealphantomzero5 жыл бұрын
That mikwaukee vacuum filter can get wet btw. It's a rinsable filter The new one has a better cover for the switch like a rubber boot on it to water proof it. And doesn't accepted the nicad on the new one and the hose is kept on the inside. I'm not sure if the new one is slightly quieter

Only if you don't plan on using it till it drys .. everything will stick to it ..that's y it says in manel remove filter if sucking up water on pretty much every wet dry vac
@mainsource80305 жыл бұрын
due to the brushless motor in the makita, you get more power yet the water lift is not as good, i suspect the reason is the safety feature in the brushless computer, when youve got water in it , the machine thinks its clogged and lowers the power a little, thats why only 27 inches of water lift as opposed to 37 with the milwaukee. however the makita has 57 cfm vs only 45 cfm for milwaukee. for dry objects the makita smokes it, if you are emptying toilet bowls, they are almost even
@MrDingaling0075 жыл бұрын
the makita had a smaller attachment opening on the end for that test, like sucking through a smaller straw.

Yes and don't remove the filter for wet vacuuming like this guy says. The float that's supposed to stop the motor from sucking up water is part of the filter itself. If you remove the filter and end up sucking up too much water, you're gonna flood the motor and destroy your vacuum.

You're also definitely not supposed to remove the filter in the makita for wet vacuuming. Like the float for preventing the water from getting into the motor is obviously part of the filter. If you had the filter out and sucked up too much water, it would flood it and destroy the vacuum. Kind of dangerous to be recommending that to people.

DeWalt went for battery life over power and it does run for about twice as long as the Milwaukee. And I like the design of it better with everything readily accessible. But not sure why they feel people would prefer longer battery life to power in something like this. Its suction is adequate, that's about the best I can say.
