If you look at them, the quick connects, while being a time saving step, also make the pump work harder to get rid of the water by restricting the flow with a smaller diameter fitting.
@Reedith
@Reedith 20 күн бұрын
As long as you use high quality quick connectors the diameter is no smaller than the diameter of the hose interior

Has anyone use this with a hose and nozzle. For example when I let go of the trigger to the nozzle does the pump sense the back pressure and turn off or does it just keep running?

I haven't had the experience of it dying on me because of running it dry. that in mind i'm keeping an eye on it when i'm using it. I wouldn't recommend letting it run dry, most pumps will burn out if they are dry. Milwaukee says if you use one of there Redlink batteries it will detect when its running dry and automatically shut off. I would go with that option over risking tool damage, thx for watching

@@hammerandhome wow. Thx. That turn off tech sounds perfect. I’ve lost two drill pump attachments trying to get to a pipe or filter clog. There’s always a lot going on. And if they clog with mud or hit dry at and they can burn quick. Neve heard of Rene battery turn off tech I’ll use it though

Does anyone know if you can pump a pre deluded mixture of water and glycol without damaging this pump?
@anthonybeasley6294
@anthonybeasley6294 11 ай бұрын
Glycol in itself is not corrosive. Propylene glycol is non regulated meaning it may as well be distilled water. Glycol is very viscous so I would imagine 100% glycol this pump will be very slow to move it. We use roots style pumps to pump 100% IGPG. If it’s 35-40% like most hydronic systems it should move quite a bit before having issues with getting hot in the motor. Glycol that’s been exposed to oxygen for long periods of time gets very acidic since it breaks down into about 5 different acids . That will likely take a toll on the aluminum housing in time. My roots pump is aluminum and I put a lot of acid and caustic through it and you can definitely tell it’s getting pitted on the faces which slows down rate and achievable pressure. That would likely be the only thing that wears out beyond repair but if you rinse it between uses of acidic or alkaline fluids it should last a long time
