That's pretty awesome warranty service. Too many companies make grand warranty promises but fail to deliver and hide behind small print.

have used milwaukee tools for some years and have worked them hard, had very few issues with them. Had a flashlight that I used all the time in the shop and it died one day. Sent in for warranty, they sent me a new one. I have a drill that has issues with the trigger, this video reminded me I need to send that in. They'll supposedly fix or swap the impact driver from their website or calling them. They've updated them recently as well. That version only has 1 ball, the new version has 2

I would check that last package returned to you for a loose tooth. That might be the problem. lol

The battery wobbles on purpose. Milwaukee does it to dampen the vibrations from the impact mechanism to the battery cells and connections. Makita does the same thing.

That's a great warranty. I've never done any warranty's with them. Only thing Milwaukee I've ever had go bad was my 1/2 impact, but it had been 5 years and I used it a lot. So I bought the new more powerful model.

Just filled out the info and got a shipping label of my impact. It has been sitting for two years since I have another one I use. Easy to fill out the from. This video just reminded me to do it. Thank you!

I've used many brands of power tools over 45 years and thousands of $$$. Yes, some had built-in design problems and failed. When I sent them for repair I usually had to pay for the majority of them. In the case of Milwaukee however. I have sent several back to them and all were returned completely rebuilt to brand new condition with new parts or replaced at no charge with a new warranty. Milwaukee has my vote. Have used FEIN tools from Germany and never had any problems whatsoever. Some for over 25 years, they are more expensive but work much better and just don't quit. FEIN Germany will always have my vote too for commercial use only.

Ok thats it, I'm going to start buying millwaukee tools from this day forward. Thats just amazing warranty there and worth it. Thats a good company right there.

My first milwaukee was the 1/2 inch chuck , 18 volt drill driver. The chuck would not hold a bit, it would loosen after you drilled a couple of holes, so off it went, for repair. I got another one, had a different serial number . It had the same problem. The third one, was the charm, it works well, and has a different chuck style, too.

Ryobi sucks, for warranty purposes, they want the tool, battery and charger sent back. That pisses me off. But I am still Ryobi fan. I haven't had any problems in four years, the blue tools well were slacking, I got the newer ones,, not the brushless. The green ones with the new batteries, no problem for me. I'm just a guy in a two car garage, that hasn't seen a car in it in 17 years. The performance for my purposes and price point , for my needs, are fine. Everybody has a preference, according to their needs. Great video

DEPO has a new unwritten return policy. I was just denied a return on a brand new milwaukee light and 6ah battery purchased 3 weeks ago. I had the receipt, the card used and everything. There was also $60 worth of supplies. They won't return because $5 of store credit was used on the receipt. The computer wouldn't allow the return, the manager could not override, and the customer service rep (number on the recipt) told me you can't return any power tools if a store credit is used on the receipt. even $.01, I told them that I didn't care about the $ 5 just return the rest and I can loose the 5 and they still wouldn't do it. Unbelievable...

Best Advice for the bit falling out is I gently tap my drill on the front hex side and it works good as new for the next 7-8 bit changes.

I had no problems with Milwaukee repairing my impact when the circuit board failed. Excellent customer service. I do wish they would quickly re-engineer design faults in there tools.

Wow now that is impressive. I have heard that Milwaukee does not honor their warranty unless it is bought from a tool truck. Must be who ever said that was wrong. Seems like great service and warranty to me. Thanks for the info.

I just received my 1/2 impact wrench w. friction back, they warranty it (fixing only what was broken) after sending it in via mail, all within 10 days. inside the box there was slip stating what was replace, quick and easy!

They required proof of purchase for the faulty m18 8.0 battery I had. My brother tells me the tools don't require proof of purchase especially when taken to a service center

I had a Milwaukee angle grinder fail. I was worried about the hassle and wait of shipping it and I couldn't find my receipt. Just to see if I could drop it off for warranty service, I took it to Home Depot and they just asked what was wrong with it and traded it for a brand new one off the shelf. I was very impressed.

I have Dewalt electric ⚡️ driver for 6 years and one of my batteries 🔋 are still at full capacity after 6 years. The main battery I use is still going strong 💪. I use it for DIY

That ending was GREAT!! They fixed GINGER the DOG?!?!? Still laughing!!!! I'm really really glad Milwaukee stood behind their product, but geeze, that's a lot of defects. They even had a preconfigured check box for the battery issue....

Battery being loose, I add 3m Velcro the soft part on the left and right of the top of the battery and still slides on and off with no issues with no more wabble

I ended up calling Milwaukee CS number instead of going thru website. After finally got a person who “understood” the collet issue; I shipped them the broken m18 fuel 2853-20 with collet issue and 1 ball bearing….AND 3 weeks later, got the new gen 3.5 (what I call it) with 2 ball bearings and a collet that actually HOLDS the bits👍🏻 Have another m18 gen 3 that hasn’t had collet issue yet, but if does; I’m sure will get fixed too. ✌🏻

This is exactly why I stick with Milwaukee.. I have bought broken tools off of EBay and Milwaukee doesn't bat an eye as long as they were mfg. within the last 5 years.. When they do a replacement like that multi tool, the 5 years starts over because it's all about the date code in the serial number

I had to send in my 1/2 inch impact. It quit working for whatever reason. Got it last year as a Christmas gift and only used it twice. The little convenience light comes on but the motor doesn’t spin. Hopefully they can address the issue. Judging by your experience, I think I can safely say i’m going to be pleased.

This is the reason why I stick to ridgid ….. lifetime , if tool doesn’t work I take it to Home Depot and they replace it if they can’t fix it , you have to register your tool when you buy it …. All for free . I have a Milwaukee impact and my battery does the same thing

Milwaukee has came out with the Gen 3.5 to replace that one. It has the same number and everything, they totally took out the old Gen 3 impact.

I got an email from Milwaukee yesterday stating they only warranted their tools form authorized dealers only, not eBay, not Amazon not anyone else. This was the email: "Amazon, eBay, and PayPal are Liquidation sites/resellers and not authorized Milwaukee Tool distributors. Items purchased from these unauthorized resellers will not be warranted." My tool in question was purchased new from Home Depot but couldn't locate the receipt, and Milwaukee don't know the manufacture date. So keep you receipts as well. Couple of my new cordless Milwaukee tools failed but within 90 day so I exchanged it. I never had a corded Milwaukee or the old cordless V18 tools broken down. The new ones just not as good, couldn't just replace a simple switch, you have to buy the switch assembly including controller and whatever else attached to it. No sense to fix unless you could found a used donor tool, otherwise its really disposable.

I dont know, since day one. I pull back the lock for the bit, and shove it in. Then release the lock. and it holds. I never lost a bit to this "Issue" I think its built in.

If you contact milwaukee and tell them you are having problem with the colect retaining bits they will swap it out with version 3.5. they did update this. Version 3 has one ball bearing to retain bit and version 3.5 has 2 ball bearings. They have the exact same item number. So if you want to know if you have version 3, of 3.5 you need to look inside the colect. I got my info from VCG construction

Very impressive. I have a brand new angle die grinder in the warranty process now for a minor issue. They said I could either return it to the seller or send it to them for repair - they recommended the latter. I didn't feel like dicking around with the ebay seller, so I sent it to the mothership.

I could swear I watched you click loose battery and while I'm glad they fixed the main problem they didn't address the secondary issue of the loose battery.

I sent back my high torque 1/2 m18 impact, they sent it back completely rebuilt, 10 days round trip, just sent in two other tools as well, we shall see what happens with them

I gotta say I beat the hell out of all of my DeWalts. THe only reason I bought more is to upgrade and I wanted some extra batteries and tools anyways.

I use dewalt. Ive got this 18v hand drill ive absolutely abused for the last 5 years and its still got 100 percent torque. Only thing is the batteries but what can you say those are disposable...great video. I like Milwaukee attachments for angle grinders and saw blades though👍

This is really interesting. Generally Milwaukee tools have good. I'll be curious how it holds up for you. I've been using DeWalt here lately. I'm impressed by the way the company stood behind their tools. God, I love your dog!

I have a M18 transfer pump that stopped working I replaced the fuze on the inside but if it doesn't fix it then I'm going to send it off so I'm glad they are good on their warranty

that's pretty nice, on a similar note. just had a Ridgid hammer drill replaced because I was quoted 2 months to get it back fixed or replaced. I thought that was ludicrous. well contacted ridgid directly vs service center and ridgid sent me a whole new kit with 2 batteries and the newer model. TTI stands behind warranty in my experience.

Crazy, I just claimed my warranty with a 4.0 battery (3yo) with Ridgid and got the 6.0 replacement at no cost. I was worried they wouldn't. Hopefully I do not test their lifetime service any time soon.

If you don't have a proof of purchase and you have a clean tool with a serial number intact I have never been let down.

I can see some companys trying to get out of a guarantee by implying that the tool has been incorrectly used. I guess companys hope that you forget about bringing it back.

They probably have your name and address on file and what you've returned and how many times and in what time frame it was replaced! They might give you trouble if you tried to replace it more than twice inside of the warranty window

I've always liked Mil. Used them for work hole hog and sawsall good to know they still oner worenty even if they have let the quallity slide .

Milwaukee seems to have some great tools, and service to boot!

I always just bang the front against something with it pointed downwards and it always snaps the next attachment lol

They will upgrade impact driver to a 2 ball chuck if you pay for it if you send in one with the one ball chuck broken they will fix it with a 1 ball chuck because that's what you bought if you want the 2 ball chuck type then buy that one don't buy the original 1 ball type & expect to get upgraded because you broke it due to abuse cases ive had mine 2 years no problem so I sent it in & paid to have upgraded before it broke

It is not a drill. It is an "impact driver". Good to know about their warranty though.

Milwaukee is not a reputable company. I submitted a battery pack for warranty after it fell apart using my M18 impact and they denied the claim saying there was excessive damage. The pack barely had a scratch on it. Buyer beware

Be careful with those adapters. Most of the time the adapters don't have any protection built in. I melted one adapting a milwaukee battery to a dewalt circular saw.

im up in canada and theres a different system here for sure.. gotta find an authorized service center, most of them are 3rd party tool stores that fix tools if youre hours from a city this can be an issue, back home in NS my local shop would fix most anything it did always take about a month for them to get the parts from milwuakee.. im up in ON for work and the shops up here will not warranty anything.. drill chucks they say are 90 days, trigger switches 90days, 1 year on electronics, 2years on batterys.. even though the box you buy them in states 3 years batteries and 5 years tool.. everything seems to be a wear item.. idk how a drill chuck is a wear item or the shaft on a sawzall is a wear item... i gave some push back and they are replacing a battery thats 1.5years old and a sawzall is getting repaired thats over 3 years old but theyve had the sawzall 12 weeks now and the battery is at 3 weeks and all they do is swap the battery theyre still quoting 4-6 weeks longer for both tools.. im just a diyer not a contracter the tools didnt get used daily or abused and lent out they should have been fine for decades imo... they wont give me a new drill chuck i had to find one second hand and i msged a local rep friday waiting to hear back about what they can do on a tool repair going to take nearly 5 months.. if i was a contractor how could i go without a tool this long.. id need to own two of everything and hope no two tools brake at the same time they need to have tool loaner programs so youre not without a vital tool for 6months.. home depot will swap tools out right there and then i believe its for 90days with them so take any crib deaths to HD or wherever you bought it not to milwuakee themselves im having electrical issues with a 350$ fuel circsaw where once you do anywork with it seems the trigger or mosfets something gets hot and it overcurrents with any load on it even with a fresh 9.0 battery.. gets to the point it wont even spin the blade itself you have to spam the trigger 10 times to build up speed in the blade before starting a cut and then baby it through the cut.. im afraid to drop it off and have no circsaw for half a year..

Had the same problem with my impacts. All I do is put a couple drops of air tool oil in the chuck every couple weeks. Mine didn't even start having the chuck issue till about 4 years into owning it and I abuse the hell out of my tools. At this point I can wobble the chuck about 15° cause the bearing is so worn out

A Milginger or a Ginwaukee but fixed, nonetheless! My DeWalt impact does the non-holding thing but I give it a shot of Kroil or SC 50/50 and that's that. But the DeWalt is refurbished or rebuilt too. The refurbished sounds like it might be a Gingerism. So THANKS, Moe! Good job and no tennis ball is safe now!

I ain't a big fan of this tool, I want a 1/2 high torque impact for the power but the batteries always feel loose on the tool. And yes you're right the bit holder is not great.

My m12 fuel multi tool quit working after about 6 to 8 uses. I've owned it for a year, bought at home depot. The tool worked about as long as a walmart hyper tough brand tool. I don't care how good they might handle fixing this under warranty. I'm done with milwaukee. To much junk tools from them. I'll try my luck with dewalt or makita. Very dissatisfied with the red brand....😡

Shouldn’t it be able to drop it off to a local big box store and perform a warranty claim for the item? Waiting a week for a replacement sucks when u need it🤔. I wonder if they have u sent out to a authorized repair destination or it goes back to a manufacturer clearing house. I’m done with Ryobi coz that’s what they want u to foot for postage now that HD doesn’t handle service. Perhaps HF will have a no questions ask option for some backup tools😊

Not crazy about Milwaukee. I have a few things. I broke the chuck completely off my hammer drill. They replaced it, but my Makita tools have been very good to me. There are so many Milwaukee influencers on KZfaq, and I'm kind of sick of them. They never have problem with anything, and I think it's disingenuous.
