Fascinating and mind-blowing indeed. However the system you're proposing might be a perfect tool for linguists, the practical application in e.g. teaching Thai would be limited, it's might be too counterintuitive for an average language user. But still the whole idea is eye-opening and proves what you've said, all these languages are working on the same engine.

This IS the system Vietnamese uses - the 2 main things that would be a deterrent would be 1. The tone marker doesn't always indicate the same pitch contour... just as is the case with standard Thai script now, and 2. The SHAPES of the tone diacritics were roughly based on Vietnamese contours, so don't really intuitively resemble contours of the Thai pitch contours that they render... but this hammers home the idea that tones are NOT pitch contours. These markers are just labels of throat actions and pitch just happens to be a by-product. When it comes down to it, an Abugida is actually much more suited to languages like Thai, Vietnamese and even Chinese.

actually voiced aspirated sounds exist in the gan chinese language. for example in the nanchang dialect（the new nanchang dialect has basically lost it，but originally it had it）大 is pronounced as dhai

next will you switch it the other way around and make a thai abugida for vietnamese? i think it would be a fun idea also.

@@StuartJayRaj as a Vietnamese speaker, I have always found my writing system lacking something. There have been many people trying to use the logic of Hangul to reform Vietnamese writing. But Abugida!? Sounds fascinating.

@@daotruong2275 it does indeed and, if nothing else, it's much more practical than Chữ Nôm. As far as I'm concerned, I wouldn't dislike grouping together syllables of the same word, making its use easier and more familiar to Western learners- for example tiếngviệt (Vietnamese language) quốctế (International) or ngàymai (tomorrow) :)

@@MaximTendu Years ago when Wiktionary was just starting out somebody was contributing their pet project of a reformed Vietnamese orthography that did just that. I think they called it something like Viet2000. As Wiktionary decided their direction the ended up purging it all in favour of stuff people actually use.
