From my point of view, this song represents something extremely important and needs to be hyped about more... Unlike most people, I don't think this song gives us the right to ask intrusive questions about her sexuality, because that's not the point. She will tell us when she is comfortable herself. We need to learn to support artists despite them being straight, bi, lesbian, etc. Instead, I think we need to take the message that Moonbyul CARES. She cares enough to represent people who are not usually represented in media. And that is SO COMMENDABLE. Plus, she does it in such a soft, melodic, realistic way - because yes, as a 30 year old, I'm pretty damn sure she knows what she's talking about. Idols talking or singing about sex/love/relationships needs to be normalized - no matter what type of couple be it hetero or homosexual - and that is what she does. The way she portrays these sensual lyrics in such a warm and relatable way REALLY makes me appreciate her. She's managed to express the happiness and physicality of a relationship in beautiful and poetic ways ❤

It's not just about any sex song, it's a lesbian sex song that was written in a most beautiful way. That is why I love this song so much. One of the writters of this song is also in High Tension. Ahaha The subs are up, you want to watch it again since Byul pointed out that there's an error in the lyrics and fixed it. 😅 Seori's vocals from just covering songs on her channel and look at her now. 🥺

Moonbyul "sexy boatman era"

This is 100% my favorite Moonbyul song. Like holy shit. Moonbyul and Seori together are amazing. The track itself just sounds so grown. And those lyrics are NOT subtle.

I love that Moonbyul is willing to put out a song like this. It's brave of her and of Seori and for that matter of Mirani since the album is supposed to be a relationship arc and G999 is clearly the first meeting and infatuation. Shutdown the relationship has moved on to making love. Seori does such a good job projecting how hot she is for Moonbyul. The physical act of love is an important part of relationships. Given how much of K-pop is about relationships it's a shame it doesn't get more attention. This is explicit but there is nothing crude about the song. It's beautiful Frankly even without the pronoun the metaphors used are clearly about a lesbian relationship. I hope that any idol who wants it has fulfilling sexual relations of whatever type they want. I don't care for the thread of fandom that wants them to be virginal love objects rather than human.

19:39 no it's not weird to feel that as a hetero. I think it's weird when heteros get uncomfortable, over sexualize or don't feel they can watch or listen to lgbtq stuff like music or watch movies or not even just listen to a gay artist. We lgbtq's watch cishet movies, MV's and listen to cishet's music and hetero lyrics all the time. Love is love. I can watch a movie about a cishet couple where where I find neither of them attractive but I can love the movie and find it super romantic and sexy etc, want what they have, be happy for their love etc. So I find it weird when straight people don't wanna watch movies with a gay couple and say it's because they are straight and same with music. And I also love seeing people being represented, it can be different sexualitys, gender identities, all parts of the lgbtq+ community, people of different nationalities and skin colours, different sizes, people with different disabilities etc. not only because those people are underrepresented but also just because it feels real and representative of how the world truly is.

I'm pretty sure the reason she's releasing these songs now is because of the re-negotiated contracts. Mamamoo is coming to a close. Wheein is only promoting with Mamamoo until next year and the other three have re-signed for a shorter period of time, but probably largely as solo artists. It's the time to take a risk. If the industry and public were to turn their backs on her, it doesn't hurt the group (not that I think they aren's supportive), and she can walk away with the career and success she's had. If they don't, she doesn't have to start a solo career continuing as she has been for the last 7 years.
