Essential for me are a closet, drawers for clothes & those great pantry (pull outs) And not just one! Also, I absolutely must have as many windows as possible! I won’t even consider a van that closes off the back win- dows or has smaller windows! Oh no! Now that I am experiencing being colder I am interested in extra insulation and extra heating solutions! Perhaps even sectional panels to section off parts of the van to target areas to heat. And it may not be feasible but I really wonder if it’s possible to have a washer & dryer? Now that would be perfect!

I love your idea because is what I would like :) I would like to add a "hide out ramp" for loading my toys or my working equipment, the hide out ramp will be my deck area :) and a drop down bed on the back so there is plenty of space for a nice cargo/entertainment area with one of the side windows will open up with a serving shelf. More head room

a toyota sienna with some modification can accomodate this, the shower portion unfortunately would be outdoors only but other than that; it's possible.

@@mindseyedesign if you can afford the $165k but choose to build yourself so a whopping 100k saving plus, you got a lot free time for that 100k and the more advanced stuff few hire skilled people every now again through project. if i was going to do one i start with double Decker bus or coach you can get a running one for under 15$k spend another 50-60K $ you got a house size rv for price of a van converted, and those coach based usa rv they go for 1million plus and they only got one floor

That's always been the case with B classes, guess when you build a conversion compared to the ground up. There are some bus builds or even c classes that are way more reasonable.

I will agree 100 percent. The prices is out of sight. My favorite is a step van or a tool van. They are built very strong. Build your own thing. My built would be very simple. They have steps inside. The highth is at least 7 ft. Tall. Put in your own windows and air also heat to. Nice and roomy Add insulation etc. Simple you have a. Home ready to move in. About 2 weeks. Wish i had the money to buy one. Im ready for the road. Im depressed because i cant. Ive been locked in the city life rat race cage all my life. Im 75 yrs. Old now. No savings. Cant save any money on minimum wage. Dead end jobs. Never been out of my town but 4 times on a 2 hour drive. Its been 20 yrs. Im ready for a nomad life. I need to work on the road but dont know what i can do. I dont know anything about computers

@@tonyatehranie3029 one of the things I wish the B vans had was a pull down bed. This sliding 2 beds together every night and then going over the top to get to the bathroom is a pain. So the Thor sequence and many others are like this if the bathroom is in the back where it should be btw, as anywhere else in a B van is useless. No storage, so you must buy a plastic black compartment to add to the back to go along with your bike rack. Trust me, the plumbing is an issue even when the hot water comes only from propane gas. They do not make them with electrical to heat the Truma, but gas, with a 12 volt refrigerator. Adding 30k worth of lithium battery is only worth it if you never go hook up anywhere. These are 80K+ and anything B with a pull out is 125k, and mercedez are just too hard to work on when you can buy a front wheel drive Promaster Ram. Any overhang is a pain, wind, etc. Who is going to crawl up there to sleep but kids, I cannot afford an Airstream, which is a Thor made product anyway. Cassette poopers, no thanks, just think about a box with poop in it to empty, Its ugly enought to empty your black tank as it is with the tubing, and gloves. I love the ability to travel with the dogs and get 18mpg, and having ac on but everytime you try to "do better" by getting a 12 v ac, it costs money, bigger fridge more money, lithium batteries, forget about it unless you have the extra 30k, inverter over 2000k, you also have to have a mate willing to bed down in a B van, and late at night the hotels start looking better and better unless you have bed bugs from those discount motels, who don't want your pets anyway and the pets don't like them either. Wife is easy now with the Windguard just costs an extra 30-50 dollars a month.

looks like lots US campers based on Europe vans, the mercs, the ram power.... that just a fiat just usa rv convert on Europe van, we use same vans as rv too but prob rv builders closer to home
