Yaa, but no one wants them to be almost to completely hidden. We want them visible to find the great loot down in the temple. Also to see it clearly, because the temples look cool.

I think they decided that some will be partly buried because when the bug was first found Hendrik tweeted about it and everyone said they like the look of it, but still would want to be able to find desert temples. So they made it so they won't be completely underground.

I think the issue wasn't what we normally see - a sand dune eating half the temple - I think he meant how the temple generated in old height (let's say 40) but now the terrain goes to 70, and the ENTIRE THING is under sand, yeah it's a cool hidden detail, but finding that is so out of the usual gameplay loop that just doesn't fit It is a cool idea of a build tho, hide a dessert temple building a dune above it, make it a hidden base with interesting lore

Love how Minecraft devs are just chilling and vibing with their updates whilst DICE and Sledgehammer games are just scrambling and in total chaos for more features and updates.. I'm so glad the bedrock got pushed down so we'll be able to find the new caves under our existing bases (especially since I've already blasted, mined, and built out an underground animal sanctuary of a base). I'll have to relocate all the obsidian for my Wither room, but it'll be worth it (in hindsight I started building it way too close to home anyway).

@Mighty to the Max Sounds beautiful. Yeah, I collected every passive and neutral animal I could for mine. It's a bit of a convoluted bunch of outcroppings and crevices and a large manufactured water basin down to the bedrock, open-air to the surface with a thin waterfall flowing in from a river.
@dionettaeon
@dionettaeon 2 жыл бұрын
@Mighty to the Max Oh wow, a canyon in a mountain biome, plus a spawner? Lucky find. And thanks. I wanted to stay close to my spawn point (swamp), just in case I wasn't tied to a bed if I died I wouldn't have to go far, so it was pretty much from scratch discounting the existing cave networks. Unfortunately, dolphins kept drowning in the basin for whatever reason, and forget trying to bring squids in. Even striders are easier to bring and keep than those two.
