In a normal survival world there's nothing wrong with it, it's the easiest light source. In something like a manhunt I use flint and steel, so after a minute or so the light goes out and I don't have to clean up any torches.

So your telling me, in the time of 30 seconds, Evbo’s friend found a village, (cuz theres no broken trees) and a ruined portal. The blacksmith gave him 5 diamonds, So he crafted a helmet and some pieces of obsidian. He went over to the ruined portal and found golden boots. He found a flint and steel so he made the portal and lights the portal up. Then he finds a bastion, and he found max protection mending netherite armour and max sharpness, fire aspect and mending on the sword. There was no helmet, so he got a netherite ingot and a smithing table and max protection and mending. He got a netherite helmet and got a anvil to enchant his helment. Then he went back to the portal, grabbed some iron and made a bucket and filled it with water. (Two water buckets btw) Then he went back to Evbo in the span of 30 seconds. Wow. I didn’t know minecraft players were so good. Unless your dream. you should watch a tutorial about minecraft. I know i should. Okay, bye.
