Personally i got into sketchup for modeling skateparks and ill 100% say not only is blender extremely complicated to do simple things its measuring system hurts my brain. It literally doesnt tell you how long an edge is and thats where sketchup stood out from blender. If your going for game development use blender, if your going for modeling houses and real structures with precise dimensions use sketchup. Sketchup did have its limitations with complex shapes but for simple things like a house its fairly straight forward. Just draw lines at a desired length and connect them all together for cubes / walls
