There is nothing surreal about beta....distant horizons only looks good with large scale terrains. You can check with normal generation it looks boring.

@@CoolSs Beta Minecraft is fairly flat actually. So it wouldn't really work that well because mountains that high wouldn't be that visible. And even old terrain you can tell it's a bad landscape with how chunky it is.

@@CoolSsThe mods are available publicly for people willing to test, and have been for a while. (edit: currently using versions from the iris project discord's #dh-support-testing, please don't pester the devs) I think the matter of what terrain looks good is a matter of personal preference, and not objectively definable. I personally like mods that make the scale of everything larger, including in the vertical dimension. The best worlds overall for minecraft with or without distant horizons, in my opinion, are the ones that have been built on, either shaping the terrain or going along with what is there. Minecraft is all about the creativity of the players and even modders these days after all

TLDR: Fabric only for now, and physics mods are most likely out. The problem with that is to my knowledge this set up is incompatable with physics based mods like valkyrian skies and create and the mod author said hes not interested in pursuing the headache. Though there are a lot of mods that is does work with. Its also fabric only for now.

attention, to make this mod pack on curse forge I put version 1.20.1 for compatibility with all the mods, finally I loaded all the right versions and in the case updated those that required an update, for now I'm testing how everything is working but I found a much lower quality from a distance, not to mention the fact that the guy who made the video managed to put the shaders there ignoring the render distance which in my case removes all the loaded cunks

@@Jeremanteca-Games I have no idea what you're on about. I have never released a paid beta of Iris, it is always free on Discord. It is intentionally hidden to prevent people without basic modding knowledge from getting it.

Hey bro how are your cpu temps? I have a ryzen 5 7600 and it's running at 80 degrees with a noctua cooler, which is weird since other games that run at around the same % dont even pass the 65 degree mark

Decrease the cpu load in the settings, aggressive mode can make your cpu turn into an oven

usually happens to me when i have insufficent ram - try to allocate more memory (mine uses +-30GB with game chunks at 12 and distant horizons at 256)

yeah they 100% are, only way i can achive real time chunks is to disable DH world gen and use c2me with around +-90 chunks for internal server (but it really hurt my ram and 32 gb isnt enough)

Still, it can't stand up for Nvidium, the best performance booster for Minecraft ever. Nvidium supports upto 256 chunks and my PC runs at 400+ FPS using Nvidium 256 chunks setting. Also, the faraway chunks in Nvidium are ACTUAL REAL 16x16 pixels unlike Distant Horizons.
