@@avcables_ It sucks. Really steep and high skill ceiling isn't good. It's raw spam, and spam in any game sucks, specially combat, they argue it's more than that but almost everything they mention is still spam or stupidly difficult to master decently.

They just announced on the Minecraft twitter that it's a mace. Deals extra damage (plus knockback) the longer you've fallen before you hit something, and if you land a hit it'll negate fall damage. So basically a weapon that does a down-smash attack. The tweet also says it's made from a "heavy core found in trial chamber loot and a breeze rod" -- making me think the breeze will now drop rods that can be crafted into charges, to parallel blaze rods and powder.

Crossbow back in 1.14, or if you want to factor melee, Tridents back in 1.13 As an aside, if you play on Java and have Optifine installed, you can kinda emulate having the different Dungeons weapons with the New Default+ texture pack Aside from neat QoL stuff like enchanted books and potions all having distinct textures from each other, there's a whole heaping host of names you can give most tools and armor via an anvil that'll change their appearance to various Dungeon weapons, or some stuff from other games if you're feeling that, like if you like the ol' Fire Emblems, naming a sword "Parallel Emblem" will give you Chrom/Lucina's sword, "Sealing Blade" for Roy's, and quite a few others "Emulate" is the key word here, though, as the changes are purely visual and the actual function of the weapon or tool will be same as normal Also, the majority of the names only work on anything that's Diamond or Netherite tier, though there are a handful that work on Iron like "Dungeons Sword", "Claymore", "Void Touched Blade", and so on

It's literally a hammer, it can't be a placable item since it has a 2d texture in your inventory or while your holding it, and it reminds me a lot of the shape of the hammer from Minecraft dungeons, remember when they added the alays and said that they originally came from Minecraft legends, I could see a similar thing happen where they add more items from Minecraft dungeons to fit the dungeons they're literally adding in this update

Maybe it's a landmine: Wind charge -> placed inside block thingy = explosive landmine that actives on proximity and launches unsuspecting players into the air, causing them to die of fall damage

wind charges are much easier to clutch because its no longer limited by placement range and the explosion radius applies the fall negation, which is much larger than 1 block

To anyone trying to say "no it isn't!!!" yes, it is. They posted on Twitter/X that it's a sledgehammer and deals extra damage the longer you're falling, and if you hit your target successfully your fall damage will cancel out.

Man, seen the snapshot, 1.21 went from 8/10 to 11/10 Fun weapon, fun overhaul to the chambers, so cool to see they adding more things to past features (aka, trims, pots and banners) instead of forgetting them, hope it becomes a pattern for them do add at least one new banner pattern, armor trim or pottery shard in every update

We should be able to use wind charges to create some sort of double jump piece of equipment that allows the player to press space again midair to get a wind charge boost. Not sure how it would work, but it would be cool. Alternatively, a rare enchanted book dropped from Trial Spawners with a Breeze in the room that can be put on boots or leggings with the same effect.

It's an air cannon. Those balls are the projectiles. Yes I know they just went on a triad over the use of guns, but batman doesn't use guns, but has no problem arming the batmobile with an auto cannon and rockets.

Ooo, well, it looks to be the same size as a conduit. But if you take the video of the Trail Chambers into thought and if they fell from a height. Maybe the blocks stops you from hitting the ground? It's got a meter bar on the side. So maybe you use Wind Charges to charge it, if you so happen to lose your footing when building high and fall, you'll be safe and sound. Well, until you run out of charge. (this is my guess btw)

I think it'd be cool to add a decent damage boost for jumping 2 blocks and hitting so jump boost potions have an actual use now for PVP but anything above the range jump boost allows you to jump scales much slower to prevent it being broken

guessing that new item is the heavy core or whatever looking forward to having the mace, but kinda sad we aren't getting something cooler like a grapple gun or smth death of fall damage, because the mace does more damage depending on your fall height (?) maybe we'll get more in the future - at least i sure hope so

I think Mojang should make this iteration of the mace a trasure weapon, like the trident, while renaming it and add craftable maces without the fall = more damage effect in turn for something more practical like more knockback, armor penetration (the irl intended use for maces) or some type of slow/sprint restriction effect on hit.
