My main take away from this trailer is how mad it is that Mojang would show mods like that in an official trailer.

In case you are wondering, the java edition mods that were showed in the video are Create, Terralith, and Comforts.

I'm quite concerned about the new chat reporting system, It seems a bit sudden to release this now without much communication as to why As most people have said, java servers have been private and governed by those that run them. Taking away the final say of a server run on personal hardware takes it a bit far, and i can see why people are upset about this. I'm currently a moderator on a decently active Minecraft server and we've been doing fine with the tools we already have. If a player acts toxic or is rude to another player, we remove them from the server. Now even though they get banned from that specific server. I don't feel its fair, nor acceptable that they get removed from the entire game they paid for, And removing access to even interact with anyone outside of their own network, or on servers they created themselves. Most if not all people i've spoken are not in favour of this system, Worrying about getting falsely banned, by either getting framed or mass reported. Server owners themselves, who had dealt with hackers or notorious player, feel at risk by those turning the system against them. Now besides the obvious, There are still a lot of questions i have about this, Why is this a global change, and not a system for servers approved by Mojang or even an opt-out system? What about players building offensive things with blocks Why go for bans instead of making this a global mute for players? What will you do about server owners getting targeted by banned players? Are there systems to protect people from getting falsely banned through players modifying their reports? What about people misusing the system on anarchy or less-stricter servers? Finally, This would be a great feature on some platforms, but for how Minecraft works, And the size of it as a community i do not see this working out in the long run.

I love the fact that in bedrock you can dance and in java the redstone actually works

The creators of the create mod should be proud that they got shown, that shows how great a mod it is.

Making all Java mod available for bedrock will be awesome

It’s not something we deserved, but the very thing we needed most.

I really loved that Mojang recognized mods like Create and the Comforts mod, I think it really creates a stronger bond with the community.

This is the best possible way to strengthen the bonds and unite the Minecraft community even more now. This is pretty exciting honestly, and we just had the 1.19 update yesterday too, Mojang is going all out this year.

I see everyone congratulating the Create mod creators, but i'd also like to congratulate the creators of Comforts for having their mod make it in

The fact that Minecraft Java and Bedrock edition are both available on windows, explains it all. I love that MS is working on bringing Bedrock and Java together.

Btw if anyone wondering, the java mods showed in this trailer is Create (the awesome spinning machine) and Comforts (the portable bed) edit: and apparently the terralith datapack/mod for the worldgen (thanks to the replies!)

I love how they even used actual JE and BE footage instead of just recording everything in Bedrock (how they usually do), very neat

That's actually pretty great, also quite cool to see the Create mod as an example, seen a lot of popularity with that mod recently. Bedrock used to be free if you owned Java, so having this work vice versa is great!

There's something about how Java's thing is decidedly "we have community mods" while Bedrock's is "we have a marketplace" that hits different as a Java user

Hopefully one day these two wonderful versions can be one or at least compatible with each other. That both have the characteristics of Minecraft.

I woke up one morning and heard this, and instantly ran to my computer and was pretty hype to see that I could now play Java. I’ve had bedrock for 5+ years so it was nice to finally have Java.

Words cannot describe how happy I am, I've owned Bedrock Edition and had Java Edition in my bucket list for about more than 6 years. I'm so happy after this announcement I get to finally claim Java Edition for free. Fyi: to clear up some small confusion, I wasn't desperate for mc & had other priorities for other things

Pretty cool as for years I've had to change to an old account to install bedrock on pc. Something I'd love is if they made a friends system for Java edition so multiplayer was easier

I really think that this is the absolute best way to deal with the whole java/bedrock disconnect! Just put them together, it's that simple and you can use whichever version that you see fit!

it's just that marketplace content feels like it's too blank like the bare-bones texturepack, i had pocket edition and i totally would recommend adding more content with vanilla-like textures and animations to the marketplace, i'm sure the bedrock users would be glad to get some java-like content on their edition once in a while

Thank you Mojang and Microsoft for doing this... I've always wanted to play both but I decided to get bedrock so I can play with my friends instead. Now I can finally experience what it's like in java❤️ This, alongside with the Wild update definitely is gonna have me addicted to Minecraft again

It's really cool to see that Java is being incorporated somehow with new-era Minecraft, but still has it's uniqueness from pre-2014, before MS acquired Mojang
