I've been playing with the create mod lately, and I personally keep the extendo grip on me pretty much at all times. I find it very convenient when building machines to be able to reach further.

in create the extendo grip is a must have, its actually extremely useful with just interacting with blocks further away

The extendo grip doesnt see much use because you need to dedicate hotbar space to it, there are trinkets and stuff that are more passive (like from Botania or Astral Sorcery) and I always work towards them first. I feel a bit weird if I have less than 7 blocks of reach in a modded setting.

I use the create mod and I find the extendo grip fairly useful. But considering the crab claw is a drop from a rare mob, while the extendo grip you can easily make with the infa structure and materials you already have, I doubt it'll be as usefui (IMO)

I’ve used the create mod, and I definitely used the extendo grip all the time, it’s a game changer. But it’s probably worth mentioning that it gives you a very big range, waaay bigger than they’d ever give us in vanilla. I think it’s about a 9-10 block reach

Extendo grip in create is very helpful, Only reason it isn't used much is likely due to it's recipe and the fact you need to wear a copper backtank in order to not have it break on you every minute.

Extendo grip has durability, crab claw (probably) doesn't. If the crab claw adds reach for melee as well (I can't imagine it _only_ increases reach for placing blocks), then it might change the PVP meta, at least a little. I don't really play modern PVP all that often, but I've been told the meta axe + shield is very tedious to deal with. Axe + extended reach would increase the speed of the fight (since you're not standing around playing "who's gonna drop the shield first" chicken).

I can't wait to see all of them added in a mod before minecraft live starts.

So here’s my input on the mobs: Crab: Sure it’s cute, but it only spawns in mangrove biomes, so it doesn’t add anything new to the old biomes and honestly feels like it should have been added in 1.19. And the extended grip, you can’t just walk forward, like, one block? Armadillo: This thing is cute, and not hostile so it could be a pet. AND it adds WOLF ARMOR! How cool is that? It also spawns in warm and dry biomes, adding some much needed biodiversity. Penguin: It’s a penguin. It doesn’t really do anything. It does make your boat faster. But that isn’t really a new concept. The dolphins do this already when you’re swimming. The only reason to vote for this is if mojang is planning 1.21 to be a travel update (ie. new boats, animal armor, new mountable animals). That is the only reason it would make sense. That would also be why boats are used so much in the mob vote videos. Maybe customizable ships?

Penguin fin is Worthless. Boats are already really good. If you want a faster boat, put on depth strider and find a dolphin. Unless I'm climbing over ice blocks like the april fools update, this is the mid-tier option. I'm voting for *Crab*. The claws still aren't much, but giving more reach would be relevant in all phases of the game, even after you've got an elytra for transportation or fire-resist for your dogs. They have PVP implications: you can place hazards on shielding players more safely. Skilled players can block-tech better. It's possible they'll also give more attack reach. Wolf armor from armadillos wouldn't do anything either. Hazards and traps are what kill dogs 90% of the time, and those pierce armor. It would need to be very enchantable, but hopes are low considering horse armor.

I think it would be cool if the claw was a potion ingredient and that temporarily gave reach bonuses. The extendogrip (to my knowledge) needs to be held and holds one kind of item at a time. Really inconvenient. But just giving the player more reach would be far more convenient as swapping between blocks and using weapons would all be the same, just at longer distances.

i think the reason why people don't use the extendo grip in the Create mod is because of the schematic cannon. coz you can just build something in creative mode and save it to a schematic/blueprint and transfer it between worlds with ease and have the cannon build it for you in survival mode. so in VANILLA i think the crab would be the best option to vote for

I'm commenting after watching the last mob vote video but I think (you don't have to agree ) the armadillo is the best candidate to vote for it feels like it would fit minecraft. it brings a fantastic feature to the game (wolf armor and possibly armor trims for said armor), and gives room for mojang to expand upon it further.

I was originally about that armadillo... but who cares about wolf armor when you can have FASTER BOATS!! Oh, and combine this with a boat on ice, that will be SO OP!

1:55 I personally love the extendo grip, although it's like 2 or 3 blocks extended, not 1 it's quite handy

I used an Extended grip it was excellent in the beginning design of Create before they balanced it was suitable for placing blocks and for melee combat and fun to annoy your friend thinking they're out of range to be hit or break a block and especially if you have knockback to see them flying away but in a later version, they added durability to it and yes there's a way to use it like the old ways but you basically have to sacrifice chess piece armor for it to have infinite durability and also to remember to recharge your backpack battery

My mind is set on voting for the crab, I am a builder and being able to place blocks further or even higher with the crab claw is much more efficient than having to constantly build a tower to my roof or waste bamboo on scaffolding, especially with how rare it is to find a jungle.

i use the extendo grip all the time, i think a big reason people dont use it is its too much work to set up the mechanical crafters to make it, or they're using andesite scaffolding

The only reason the extendo grip in Create is because most of the create players focus on contraption making, and when they aren't doing that, they need other things in their hands. The extendo grip is only used, however is really helpful with, building structures and creative architecture.
