I think that the 1 month delay between Bedrock and Java getting the capes is because Java wasn't suppose to receive them, but the community spoke up and Microsoft decided at last minute to release them also on Java

I'm pretty sure it's because the account system works way differently between the two versions. Bedrock edition is pretty easy as long as you claim the cape in a Microsoft account. Java on the other hand, Mojang needs to give the cape to every account individually. Basically it's the difference between picking things up in a real store to waiting for shipping in an online one.

4:15 as an American this was very confusing cause an hour is a fairly short distance to drive to another city here. In fact, many kids I’ve been in school with had an hour or more to drive to school each day.

I don't think it will take to long to import the 2 cape textures into Java Edition, and an extra entry into the cape API, and make it so they are redeemable like the Minecon Capes!

The information in the video regarding the cape is incorrect. You can get all three capes already. The Purple Heart and the TikTok capes are only available in BE (as of now) but the Anniversary Creeper cape is already available for both BE and Java edition. Best of all, not only in BE but also on Java the cape doesn't go away when putting on an elytra but instead the skin covers the Elytra. Not only that, the Elytra also gets a little redesign with the Anniversary Creeper cape skin as the wings' ends are tattered with the skin on. Quite nice! EDIT: FYI - the task on TikTok for the cape is to comment "Minecarft" on the live stream and watch for 3 minutes. That's it. You get the code and redeem it like the one you get on Twitch where you have to watch 15 minutes. The Anniversary Creeper cape is only a click on a button on an official Minecraft page. That's it - couldn't be easier. EDIT: The TikTok cape does not look like the cape when it's used as skin on the Elytra in BE - there it's more like a "sporty" paint job.

With Java it must be something backend. Same thing with the cherry blossom mob vote cape, you would have it but it wouldn’t get to you util lots later. It was also in waves so a friend got theirs a week or so before me.

3:10 it sounds like the "tick" "tock" of a clock. It also sounds very similar to the buttom, lever, and pressure plate. I think the piston being as quiet as a pressure plate is kind of bad, especially for piston doors, since they use lots of components that are now noisier in comparison.

Yeah the twitch API is a little off. I watched the stream for four hours before I got the cape. Just wait on the stream for 30 minutes and it will come eventually.

It will be an automated process, if you have the cape on bedrock already, you will automatically receive the cape on java (hopefully if everything will go well).

Really happy that the capes will actually be coming to java as that is the main platform I play on. I am though getting the bedrock free cosmetics as well for fun. Want to add here already got tge twitch cape from xbcrafted and just got the tiktok one from tge toycat live stream going on right now. May have to wait a bit to get the twitch one though in notifications.

@@Finity2010-ud2rl Yeah and I really don't like this new sound. I preferred the more mechanical swoosh sound it use to make. The sound effect the piston made was always just one of those small things that made me feel great when I would get something to work with redstone.

The 3 capes will automatically be given to all platforms if you own both, though on Java it's quite a bit later.
