Did you know that a game that is hopefully coming out soon is called high tail and I think when that game comes out probably within a month of the games launch people might call it a Minecraft clone to some degree and that’s what happens from time to time, but that’s just peoples opinions I do know that is what happens sometimes when they are games similar to Minecraft I know it’s going to be similar to Minecraft when high tail lunches because it’s going to be a blocky game but with some other elements in the game that are not like Minecraft I do know that the game will have its own servers and what not Also I do know that sometimes some games are criticized no matter what but everybody can be entitled to their own opinion, but I will enjoy hi tail and Minecraft together I think both games are going to be amazing side-by-side together

tbf on pocket edition there are no multiplayer checks : i was able to join servers even on a cracked version by just logging in on my ms account (and that was before i even had bedrock)

South East Asian here, we used to pirate Minecraft PE everytime, one of us would have the latest version (pirated ofc) and would pass the apk around so everyone could play. The dude with the most powerful phone would always be the host.

As a teen that grew up wishing to play the real minecraft, these games, especially crafting and building make me so happy. Yes, its basically pirating but my family can't buy the real minecraft as we are less fortunate than most people. I really hope it doesn't get taken down from the play store, it was my childhood.

To be fair, I highly doubt the whole "these apps are more popular than real minecraft" part. Not only are downloads easy to spoof (the play store doesn't check to see if they've actually opened the app, just downloaded it) but reviews are easy to fake as well. I've seen apps with like hundreds of thousands of downloads that are only a couple months old and only have like 5 players online.

You can buy downloads pretty cheap too, depending on if you wanna go the slightly illegal route of cooperating with bot farms it's only gonna be a couple cents per install Paying people from poor countries is a lot more legal but also more expensive

I'm glad Crafting and Building existed, even if it was piracy or whatever, since I never got the chance to play Minecraft as a kid so being able to play a game that I had extensive knowledge and dedication to was thrilling. I was able to get my first Minecraft game when I turned 17, but still thankful that app existed lol

The worst part is that the ads for those games use content stollen from KZfaqrs, I saw multipule craftsman ads using thumbnails from sb737 and even MumboJumbo, I also saw A few video ads and they steal ENTIRE SHORTS. This can't be legal

Russian's here, Minecraft pe blocked itself from Russian app stores (and also you can't buy apps in them with Russian cards). Original game wouldn't profit from these players anyway, because it doesn't want to. There's no legal way to play it here, and obviously, not playing a freaking block game is not going to stop the war or something.

This has actually been going on for a really long while now, I still remember from way back before the quarantine I was playing with my cousin when he showed be this minecraft-like game that basically his entire school plays and I was shocked when I noticed that it wasn't just your average minecraft ripoff, it was literally just minecraft but with a really convincing texture pack added on to hide the fact that its minecraft like the texture pack was so convincing that I didnt even realize it was minecraft until he let me play it myself. I think this was the time when these games only recently started appearing with how well disguised everything looked but overtime they just started to get really sloppy with how they hide it since I guess they realized that mojang doesn't really give a damn

I remember years ago around 2016 that i installed a minecraft clone which was just one of those cheap minecraft clones, but out of nowhere the game changed into fully original minecraft, no texture packs, no ads, only original textures. Yeah I remember downloading a game called craft exploration survival for the fun of it and it was legit mc pe. the tablet i had it installed on got lost and when i tried looking for the game out of curiosity couldnt find it anywhere though so it probably was taken down. I used to believe the reason that Mojang and Microsoft allowed these stolen versions of Minecraft to exist was because they used older versions of the game so they wouldn't care much about taking them down. Crafting and Building got updated recently where you can watch a add to get stolen marketplace worlds and I was able to play og-network on it as well as the hive but for ppl who can't afford mc like me I'm very glad these are available

There are actually lots of these "stolen minecraft" apps even from ages ago, probably one of the most notable one would be this one game called ZaiCraft. This game was part of my childhood for a very long time as it was my only way to play minecraft with my friends back then since my parents wouldnt let me buy the game due to them not trusting microtransactions.

Even if they did care, there's just so many that it would be an impossible arms race which they likely don't want to waste time with. I'm slightly more surprised that Google/Apple hasn't taken any more consideration into this issue although this is more of a non-issue in comparison to how much malicious crap tries to get through (and sometimes succeeds in rare cases)

You are entirely mistaken about the review system. In 2021, the Play Store supported 32 bits, and the old version of MCPE only had 32 bits. Consequently, it was accepted in the review and not taken down, given that it was a very OLD version of MCPE (0.15.10). The 0.15.10 version is still active with hundreds of players. Moving to 2023, the Play Store implemented a new policy requiring 64 bits for security reasons. They updated the app to the latest version of Bedrock Edition, ensuring it supports 64 bits. This shows how they bypassed the system.

This video is crazy! I had no idea that there were so many stolen versions of Minecraft out there. It's shocking that these games have been downloaded over a billion times! It's also interesting to see how the developers of these games have been able to bypass the Google Play Store review process. I would recommend not logging into any of these games, even though they don't seem to ask for any extra permissions. It's still not safe to give your information to these unknown developers. Minecraft isn't the only game that has this problem. Gorilla Tag has the same problem to. People will copy the entire game of Gorilla Tag and steal everything. Assets, movement, player models, etc. It's a wide spread problem with some of these games and we here in the gaming community need to take action.

As a guy, who actually been on 4pda for a while(and on minecraft thread too) I can say, that this thread more like about modding BE. Yes, cracked versions are posted there, but mostly it's about minecraft and minecraft modding(in separate thread but still in one theme on forum). I had a rip off minecraft on a old Lenovo tablet from 2014 in 2020 and it was filled with nostalgia! Also in 2020, i downloaded the real mcpe from an apk and i have fun playing it! When i found the end city for the 1st time in 2021, my tablet is destroying and ive lost my tablet. Today I have the real version of Minecraft from the play store that costs $6.99 and i have fun playing it.

It's not sad, it's wonderful. There are millions, maybe billions, of children that want to play Minecraft but whose parents don't know how, can't or don't want to buy them the game. I'll never forget spending a huge chunk of my childhood longing to play the official Minecraft. If there's anyone scummy in this whole scene, it's Microsoft. Despite visibly transforming Minecraft to gather as much of a younger audience as possible ( as if Minecraft wasn't dominant in the field for years already ), they take every opportunity to milk the players of money through the cesspool that is marketplace and unnecessary spin-offs of the game, as if the prices themselves for every single edition of the game weren't enough. If they weren't scummy, the very least they would have done was make Minecraft Bedrock on mobile ( Google Play Store ) for free and follow Crafting and Building's ad strategy shown in the video to make revenue out of it ( on top of marketplace and whatnot ). Another alternative would have been to publish older obsolete versions of MCPE for free and keep the current latest version premium. But no, they want to enjoy your wallet more than they want you to enjoy their game.

As a person who used to play fake minecraft ripoffs, i used to play craftsman as it was the most similiar minecraft ripoff i could find and when i saw 'crafting and building' it really intrigued me bcos of the fact that it can play on actual featured servers which is very interesting bcos usually ripoffs use outdated bedrock clients that either cant play on servers coz its so outdated or it'll just say coming soon while 'crafting and building' can actually play cubecraft as shown on video

I did played real minecraft but when i accidentally uninstalled it i was too heartbroken but didn't had the money with me at the time to buy it again so i played loki craft on my phone and since its basically free people would tend to play it to mimic minecraft LIKE vibes but its still off putting like its making fun of your wallet basically cus you cant afford the real thing. Its like making a pc from garbage instead of buying one but yet its very off putting. The game wasn't that bad but the graphics were kinda basic and dull not much you can do but as time goes by the ripoff would be making more updates like minecraft plus profit because its basically free to download

I remember playing these back in 2019 on my old lenovo phone, and i remember a lot of these names, basically all of them used to be a very old mcpe version from 2016-2017 without any texture packs, just changed logo and panaroma, back then crafting and building was the only one which was pretty up-to date meaning you could play servers but a lot of people had to restort to the old versions of mcpe clones because crafting and building stayed as that weird unity game for a really long time. but now it seems that all these clones just copied the latest minecraft versions, but by changing the texture packs and all that

This video takes me back. Back than in my old friend group this one guy would "buy"(he actually got his minecraft from pirating websites, but he would claim so) minecraft bedrock and help us transfer it over to our phones. It was the real minecraft too not just some retextured mess, it even showed as the real bedrock in the app store. The only problem we had was that when a new version came out we couldn't update normaly and had to wait for the guy to transfer us again wich also deleted our worlds.

this. either me or one/two of my friends used to do the same. We would spend quite amount of time searching and tries to download these "cracked - original" Minecraft through various download sites, such as APKPure, APKTown, etc. Then after that, either me or my friends would use some kind of app sharing software to share the game to my other friends, and its basically an original version of Minecraft, but only with a bypassed + cracked game license. It even shows that you've downloaded the original Minecraft in the Google Play

they should play at minetest, it's an open source game like minecraft, with a ton of mods, playable on android, windows and linux based os. It's probably one of the best experience you could have for free without any ads on android. But yes, you won't be able to play on minecraft server, in the same time, you can host your own server really easily and there's already a decent list of servers. Oh and, if you feel like something is missing in term of content, just browse the content menu, you should be able to add almost anything you may want

There used to be a crafting guide and map downloader that were secretly minecraft. Like it was marketed on the play store as a crafting guide, but when you opened it, it was literally minecraft. Except the splash text said "it's a secret". And I was able to play online with my friend who actually had bought real minecraft pocket edition. It was insane, and I loved it. Sadly though, like 5 years ago, it was all updated to look like any other mcpe ripoff. However, after watching this video, I wonder if it was just a texture pack.

You could even play servers with it. I remember the splash text saying ''it's a secret'' and ''don't tell anyone!'' because the photos that are in the play store are completely different. It dissapeared back in 2018 or so iirc but during its prime, I was around 6 and couldn't afford minecraft and my parents didn't know how to buy it so it let me enjoy minecraft without buying it. That game is what got me into Minecraft, actually.

I didn't know these were still a thing. I remember me and my friends using these back around 2015 on our phones, but we later switched to downloading off Aptoide until mobile version 1.12 (which I believe was the Better Together update) that gave mobile Minecraft all the things from we were missing (like armor stands) and essentially gave us Bedrock. The thing is, it also included a sort of verification system so we could no longer download from there. But about a year before all this, so sometime in 2015, iirc, we started playing minecraft by scouring the Play Store, where the versions were disguised as a "guide for Minecraft PE", so I remember downloading around 50 or so guides until I found one that was actually Minecraft, and not just a guide. Also, they didnt use custom skins or anything, they were just Minecraft, simple as that.

I genuinely enjoyed that SurvivalCraft game. I liked that the water made you float instead of sink in it. I liked making little water slides and spawning bears to ride them lol. Then I got actual Minecraft and played that. Fun times. Maybe I'll play it again sometime.

When I was younger I wasnt allowed to buy games, so I would scroll through the play store and look for the best Minecraft clone and I found one that would be removed from the play store and re-uploaded multiple times with different names. It wasnt "Lokicraft" or "Craftsman" it would be random stuff like "Lovecraft" was one of the names it used. I might still have one of those clones on an old tablet still to this day
