We need paternity at birth, it just is something that should be mandatory to have a name on a birth certificate. I want to have an accurate outlook on my medical history and stuff. There are a lot of times that fathers find out when they have to try to give bone marrow to a kid or even a transplant and they can't donate because they aren't even related. I hate the court system forcing support on someone like that. It's just not right at all. This robs him of the chance to be a father properly for another child of his own. Children aren't cheap and to really provide for them the way they are supposed to be is very costly.

If you establish a bond and accept paternity for child almost all courts make you pay child support. Men are in jail for not paying child support for a kid that’s not theirs.

All this drama could be avoided by mandatory paternity tests prior to birth certificate signing. It makes you wonder just how many men unknowingly brought up kids that were not theirs before DNA tests were available.

this is written oddly yk it makes me wonder if it’s real. regardless if op want’s custody of any kind he has to pay some amount of child support in most cases. it’s shows good faith he needs to decide if he wants to be a dad or not instead of dragging his feet imo

There's recently been a flood of stories where someone's been taking old reddit post, using them as a template as far back as 10+ years and then they are being fed into an AI which changes names and stuff to then mass manufacture stuff based off them. To quote @mohamedemad2051 "as soon as you say "and get this" "but wait there is more" "and let me tell you" over-exaggerated examples and euphemisms it is AI generated for sure" Who posted about 2 hours prior. A lot of these AI stories have various phrases like that, also "Here's the Kicker"
