I mean it's not wrong to do.... it's acting.... If the info is true then it doesn't matter. But if the company is telling them to say false info, then it's the company's fault not theirs. That's just how they make a living.

Technically, it’s unethical. But the company is the one that done it. The person offering it is caught in the middle. It’s not the paid spokesperson fault, it’s the company. Now even if it’s not illegal, is it ethical?

I think it was BuzzFeed that did an experiment where they hire a bunch of similar actors to find out how far they would be willing to go to get the endorsement job. It was great seeing that more people than I expected refused to lie about products that were clearly questionable.
