Does size really matter? I think you should see for yourself! This mini belt sander from Micro-Mark.com is adorable and a must-have for your small shop! Check out my initial thoughts as I use this little gem to help smooth out some details and edging on EVA foam.

I really wanted one, but couldn’t get past how much the belt slipped on the manufacturers own demo video. To part with the $99 that the sander cost. You read that right, a hundred bucks! On that video the comments are turned off, and with good reason. This sander is only useful for the lightest of materials... Forget soft woods unless it’s balsa, or swamp basswood. I really liked your demo though!

Okay. First - GOOGLY EYES. YAS. Second - I immediately internet-sprinted to their website and oh golly, they have some wonderful (little) items! They even have a desktop belt/disk sander, a mini planer... OOF. I do have a question however - it seems at the end of the video that the belt is partially off of the wheels. Is that from use or was it just not on all the way when you started sanding? My worry is that I would be sanding along happily and the belt would slip off, taking a chunk out of whatever I'm working on (or my finger!).

Good question! The belt tension can easily be adjusted.. I just needed to tweak it a little.

@@DownenCreativeStudios Oh that's awesome! I was worried that since it was a lil guy, it would just be 'one setting' so to speak. I'm happy to hear that it's adjustable. Now to convince the hubby that we need it. :D
