You are in cold conditions and likely jetted too lean already. Hitting N20 just adds oxygen and leans it out more. You need additional fuel to make power. Best setup for this is using E85 or even better E98. They have a huge peak power air/fuel ratio window, unlike pump gas. Jet it to peak rich power NA I ran 10.8:1. Then put a real 2lb N20 bottle/kit on it with the 5-10hp jetting and its very unmistakable when it comes on! lol. Done it MANY times with a wide band 02 sensor in place. I would like to install a NOS kit but im thinking of either installing another throttle cable via hand lever or mounting to throttle plate and making linkage that pushes button at WOT. My goal is to locate the bottle as close to the carb as possible. Possibly making a carb plate out of white phenolic aka a piece of cutting board. No tube lag and minimal waste of NOS.

Try warming them up a bit, maybe leave them in your pocket. Nitrous runs best at high psi.

Yeah, warming them up when it's that cold outside was a little tough. I'd love to get the better results in summer but I've moved on to fully building mini bikes with step by step instructions how to make frame jigs, frames, parts, etc. Got me a little busy.

Put in a larger jet so you are running around 10:1 ARF. Then you will see a big difference.

This kit would work better on your lower rpm not top speed. If you spray at takeoff. Also they have nitrous kits for mini bikes for sale on Amazon.
