I love mini braids! I usually do about 200, and I take my time with the parts so that my hair looks neater. I redo each braid every 3 weeks, and I take them down every three months, washing twice per week. I also do pipe cleaner curls to give them a softer look and shape 🥰

I love the way the braids form around ur faces. I know that you said larger braids didn’t seem appropriate. But I personally think that, that what society wants us to believe. Love the mini braids. I have sisterlocks, but I’d have went with mini braids if I had a good stylist who’d braid and unbraid them for me. It’s the takedown process that made me decide to get locked.

I just started my mini twist journey April 1st. The first month was wonderful. I retwisted the front sections after two weeks and after 4 weeks I took them down to deep cleanse my hair and scalp. SIZE matters! My second install at the beginning of this month was a bust because they weren’t as small as the first and I didn’t stretch my hair after twisting so matting immediately occurred at the roots.
