Part 3 • Timing Chain Replaceme...
Mini Cooper diesel engines do suffer from the same timing chain problems than bmw, as they share almost same engine. In this video series I will do a detailed timing chain replacement revealing all the special tools required for this job.
Part 1 is the engine removal, not a detailed video as it would take time, BUT part 2 the actual timing job will be accurate and detailed.

Thanks for watching. Two working days if we count the hours. I only have time to do these projects after work in my spare time, so it was split across multiple days.

Hey Mate... EXCELLENT video ... I have an F55/B37(D) and fcan't ind any information how to check and change the Transmission Oil ... Can anyone please point me towards the information I need??

Hi, sorry but I don’t have much information about that transmission. Only way I’ve seen it changed is you measure the oil drained, and same amount goes back in. But this method only works if there are no leaks.

You didn’t have to take the engine out to do the timing chain. Why do you do it that way

Did you manage to do it without removing the engine? If so well done! Back then I didn’t have a proper car lift, for me this was the easiest way.
