I removed my fuse and my radio went on most helpful video found it in an intsant i appreciate it i was thinking of doing it however i came here instead

I've been watching vids on the fuse box on floor of passenger side apparently desoldering or cracking solder on those boards. The low pressure fuel pump relay being a prime candidate. I'm having a stalling issue and my radio is freaking out at same time. I'm going to pull that fuse box and check for burned or disconnected wires.

Check for the terminals being too wide for the fuse like for the radio. It could be the same for your fuel pump relay.

How can you tell if the contacts are too far apart, and how do I push the contacts of the terminal closer together? Do you need a tweezer? And is it dangerous? My radio display just did not turn on today but I checked all the fuses and they are good so I really don't want to take to dealer...

Well, you need to use something like tweezer or super thin flat screw driver and you push on the side of the terminal so they get closer. When you want to know if the are too apart, you can move the fuse in and out, it should be hard to pull in and out on both side of the fuse. Sometimes one side is hard and the other is loose, so you need to correct that. Also you will see black spot on the contact of the fuse, it means you have to fix the terminal.

@The Techguy I don't see a black spot and the fuse is very tight and hard to pull out so I guess it might not be my problem.

@@malasadagirl the black spot could be hard to see. If you wanna be sure it's not the contacs in the fuse box, put the key to the ON position so the radio is suppose to turn ON and play with your fuse in it's position, like move the fuse as much as you can. If it's the fuse, the radio should turn on and off as you play with the fuse.

If it turns on and off then it is the contacts behind the fuse that are loose.

Hey Techguy.... My radio is possessed just like your was,,,My radio comes on and goes out when ever it feels like it.. Will be trying this fix 1ST thing in the morning. Wish me Luck,, and thanks for the possible fix..

PLEASE HELP ME! Anyone knows if the Bluetooth is connected to the Radio or part of the Radio System? The Bluetooth is giving me mad headaches. YES, you heard it correctly, it's giving me MAD headaches. I just want to remove it and if anyone knows it is part of the radio? If it is, I can get rid of the radio and YES I DO NOT mind. I'd rather have headaches free, I can live WITHOUT a radio. THANK YOU !!!!

Does the radio in this mini require a code when you disconnect the battery

I'm not 100% sure. I know I unplug the radio when I test the connector behind the radio and I didn't have to put a code when I plug it back. But I don't know if all the models are the same.

This is so weird... My fuse chart says "F45" should be my radio fuse... But there's nothing there. F45 not only has no fuse, it doesn't have any clips to plug a fuse into to begin with! ????

@@LastBastian hum..! Sometimes the manuals are not super accurate. Best bet for you is to turn the key On and pull out and back in each fuse until the radio starts again. If the radio already works then it will stop so you will know which fuse is the one so next time it stop you can play with it and see if it starts again. Or you can squeeze the terminals anyway and see, it should stop to do the problem.

You can use a strait pick or even a precision flat screwdriver

You can use a pick like this model: (Milwaukee Tool Hook & Pick Set (4-Piece) Model # 48-22-9215) make a search for that and you will see the kind of pick to use. It can be any other brand as long as it fits between the terminal and the fuse box housing.

To be sure that is your problem, you need to take your radio out and check if you have power and ground going to your connector behind the radio. If you have 12V to a red/green (pin15) wire and GND to brown (pin12) than it's not the fuse in the fuse box. I don't remember if there is one behind the radio also, you might check that too. If you don't have 12V to the Red/green wire maybe your fuse is still not making contact or either it might be burned. Other thing you can try is remove that fuse in the fuse box, check wich side doesn't have 12V and then send 12V to that side and see if your radio will work.

So, if you have the 12V and the GND on the radio connector and all the connectors are connected and your radio still not working, then it's probably the radio that is defective.
