Help! My green cord broke on 2010 gas cap release and there is no panel to open to look. The green cable was visible from the panel and broke. The little white bar on outside in cap will not release. What should we do? Thanks

So if you pull the pin it would keep it from shutting ?

It still shuts as the chrome cover is sprung loaded. So it doesn't flap open as you drive along.

i have the opposite problem, the pin wont go out when i lock the car. so its always open. can somebody help me?? anything is help

it would need a new solenoid. but it’s not really much of a problem is it?

Locking petrol cap cheaper than any replacement part. Besides the plastic locking pin breaks off too easily.

you can undo the rear lamp assembly and remove to see inside the area, the green cable will be in there floating around.
