Love the remove before flight tag ! Got same on my 2006 cooper key fob , so handy for finding key quickly and also looks pretty mad

Your key on the fob also turns up the windows when you put the key in the door and tirn it to the right and hold it till all your windows are up

Just buy a MINI if you are thinking about it. They are great they are so much fun. But beware all of the parts are very expensive!

Awesome beard man!!!... Also cool video. I just bought a 2013 R56 back in December 2018. I also have a 2014 countryman... I became addicted to minis after purchasing my countryman back in 2014 lol. But on the R56 I discovered that secret compartment on accident and thought I'd broken something at first lol. I have both of my minis coded. I also have the one touch sunroof feature coded so that I don't have to hold the button until it opens or closes completely. I love it! I have the mini connected on both cars too, and purchased an interface device to install a backup camera and also to cast videos and stuff to the screen via my chrome cast or just mirroring my phone. It's pretty neat. The repair part are super expensive like you mentioned but I'm so greatful to live next to an amazing mechanic lol. I purchase the parts and he fixes it for a fraction of what the dealership would charge. So, if you get a used mini get that sucka check thoroughly before buying... I had an oil leak... Ugh... But I love my little mini. Awesome video man.

Also you can Open or lock the door from the outside by hold down the button at the done handle

I’ve got a Carly connected, I coded my 2008 to when I hold the block button the windows close and so does the sunroof. It’s the feature I use pretty much everyday 😂. I’ve had my mini 1 and half years and I learn new stuff about it all the time.

You forgot the gear change advisor on the dash, I noticed you didn’t have it on. That’s quite useful I find.

I don't understand R56 R57... etc. it's not mentioned in their website and not advertised. I have cooper S. R32... maybe. no idea how many trims in the S. I hate it when we have to treasure hunt for info about our own car.

I knew all these tricks but I just wanted to mention in case you have followers in the UK, that roll up feature is available to all UK production and sales Minis without having to code it. Also, the changing interior lights are only if the vehicle was originally built with the mini excitement package. That does come stock in all signature modes though. I’m upgrading my 2011 to 2019 next week 🙌🏽

I did drive my 09 mini without key in the slot. Key há range about 50 meter...but remember to put the key back sometimes to recharge key battery

Just an update to the key feature, you don’t actually need to put the key in the ignition slot. I have a 2009 r56 cooper s and I can start the car without inserting key in the ignition at all key remains in my pocket the whole time

I just purchased a 2015 mini countryman S all wheel drive. The car is pristine there is no smell of any dampness or mold or mildew inside the car or the trunk not the rug or the seats but inside the window seal it smells moldy and mildewy. I did clean it and there was a lot of black stuff that came out of it. Have you ever heard of this?

I'm not sure on a manual, but with my 2010, all I do is hop in the car, foot on the break, and hit start. Once. Engine starts right up. My keys are in the pocket.

Holding the lock button to close the windows/moonroof does not work on US models. To my knowledge it's because of legal reasons
