Thanks really appreciate it. And I’ve seen a few lightened crank pulleys over the years break due to the spokes on them being weak, they just shatter. The OEM crank pulley is totally reasonable if it’s being used as a road car or there’s other cheaper liquid filled alternatives :) I’ve kept my aircon but, you can just remove the aircon pulley all together and fit a shorter belt. I’ve heard some issues with the belt slipping under full load when doing this, but it seems to be quite rare

@@carsandbras2202 the reason not to run a solid lightweight pulley is because the engine needs dampened - as a 4 cylinder it is intrinsically imbalanced, and no dampening would cause premature failure of oil gears, bearings, etc. also, the ATI is not fluid filled but instead uses specific types of rubber and clever design to isolate vibrations. There is a company, PRW, that sells a fluid filled damper.
