Great, but you missed half the screws out. What about the screws at the bottom by the radiator??

And no mention of nut/bolt size either. Just movie music in the background.

@@codyrebelcb lucky enough my screws at the bottom were missing, so I installed the blanket and didn’t bother with the bottom screws. It was fine like that

And I m sorry ..the 2 screws from the bottom? Did they unscrew and screw by magic ?

Nope missed the bolts underneath

How does the blanket attach underneath does it just took under or does it need to be bolted in as well

What about the block and cat heat shields?

But how to remove the 2 bolts hidden under the turbo for the blanket because i have no clue how to losen them and how i can screw them back in.
@sassyrav Жыл бұрын
I have the N14 engine and yeah those bolts are tough to get to. I had to use an open end spanner and it took me a fair while. Very tricky to get off but its certainly doable. My hands are pretty cut up from the plastics surrounding those bolts.

do you have stock cataliytic downpipe? any issues with it??
@johnnytan45032 жыл бұрын
I changed to a catless downpipe a year ago, so far so gd.... except there is an error code occasionally appear that refers to mass airflow efficiency. No big deal though, I just refresh it with Torque apps. The forge blanket still look gd n works fine after a yr now..

What exactly is the point in this? What difference does it make over just keeping the stock heat shield??

@@johnnytan4503 oh ok. I have a 2010 mini s with the N14, maybe that's why. I had 6 total, three on top, 3 on bottom below the O2 sensor, or front depending how you look at it. Thanks for the video tho!
@Studio13113 жыл бұрын
It's probable that the 3 at the bottom were never put back after the older blanket was installed. Those 3 in the bottom are very hard to take out and even harder to put back in without taking apart the front assembly.
@gretre45603 жыл бұрын
@@Studio1311 i could see that. It definitely crossed my mind to give up on screwing those bolts back in. Hardest part of the entire install for sure. Thanks again for the video!
