In this video, I go over how to dissect a Getrag 5 speed manual transmission for a R50 Mini Cooper and discuss what goes wrong with them. This particular transmission came out of my 2005 Mini Cooper and has 83,000 miles on it, or about 134,000km. Surprisingly for such a low mileage car, it had issues when I tore it down and I document them here. I also go in to how far to take it apart and why you may not wish to do all of the bearings.
