Learn how I made this 1/12 scale kitchen silverware set that includes a fork, knife and spoon! These are absolutely adorable and essential for any miniature kitchen scene. I know not everyone uses 3D printing so I added in steps for how to make this using paper. I hope you like it!

I love how you show both a high tech and tech free version, so even if I don't have a 3D printer (yet...) I still learned how to make a nice set of utensils! 😃

Another great demonstration of 3d modeling that not only shows how to make what you made, but also your thinking behind it so we can apply it any other project! Thanks for not gatekeeping this knowledge and making beautiful pieces. Please keep them coming!

the other day, i remembered you and your dollhouse kits from banggood, binged those and noticed you're still active on youtube! that makes me really happy, as back then you were a huge comfort for me! I'm on the other side of 25 now, and your voice is still very soothing and genuine. keep up the good work

Thank you so much for making these AMAZING tutorials! I appreciate you showing some of the tedious steps in carving out the shapes in Tinkercad and also what supports worked best for you. I had not previously considered having a utensil drawer in my dollhouse kitchen, but after seeing yours....I'm so inspired to do this!

That was so fun to watch! I figured out how to use my laser cutter to cut the tiny utensils out, and wanted to see what to use to paint it. Gel and chrome powder look perfect! PS: I used black cardstock. White needs too much power and gets scorched.

There is something very authentic in cutting the papers and shaping them up into the utensils physically, because you can shape and create them until you're satisfied with the final products. The same concept applies to every miniature pieces, which you yourself and a lot of other channels used to create back in the days. As much as it is convenient and accurate, 3D printing miniatures will never have the same feeling as creating them physically. Sure, using CAD softwares and creating the objects there is the virtual form of creating them physically but they will never replace the authenticity and the warmness of spending your time on a sunny afternoon or a fine morning creating and perfecting a wooden stick swingset or a set of coke cans made out of modelling clay. Just my thoughts, because I really wish people would go back to creating miniatures physically instead of just printing them out of resin or plastic fillers, which just defeats the purpose of creating something that comes from your mind, gathering the essential tools and parts, enjoying the process and finally looking at the finished product that you worked for quite a long time. For me, authentic miniature making >>> 3D printing countless pieces while adding to the environmental issues surrounding resin and plastic :)

I completely understand your sentiment and agree there’s something incredibly beautiful and irreplaceable about handcrafting. However, I can appreciate how 3d printing has enabled creators to share their crafts on a larger scale and also allows those with physical disabilities to participate in a craft that was once inaccessible to them. I respect your opinion and hope you do mine as well. I choose to use this technology because I want to help grow this hobby and bring it the modern world for future generations. It’s be amazing for current and future miniaturists to keep an open mind and not dismiss techniques just because they feel foreign right now.

How do you get it to the right scale like 1:12 do you input sizes after you’ve made it in tinkercad?
@TheSquaretoSpare

I just shrink them down in tinkercad :) the size in tinkercad is measured in mm and is very accurate to how it’ll print out
