Miniature Mushroom Fairy House - Clay Tutorial with Mini Planter - DIY Idea - No.4

Sharing mushroom fairy house again but this time a miniature version (mini house style No.#4) with miniature planter on the roof. You can use real plant or artificial plant for decoration.
In this clay craft project, I use real mini succulent plant. Hope the plant will survive there, stay small and cute. It's really nice for room decoration though.
Btw, you need air dry clay for this craft. As usual I use homemade clay. You can see my recipe video at • Best Homemade Clay Rec...

This is so awesome! I watched another one of your videos and told you I plan on making something larger to go outside. But I decided I should get my feet wet and make a small fairy house or at least a couple of them before I make something so large. I love watching you do this, I’ve tried with a homemade clay, but it keeps cracking. I’m filling the cracks for the third time, I’m so disappointed what am I doing wrong???😥😥😥

Oh noooo.... What homemade clay you use? I don't have problem with flour base homemade clay. But, if you use corn flour base/ cold porcelain clay to wrap around something it will crack because corn flour shrink more than flour. Try to use my best homemade clay recipe and add few pieces of tissue paper when kneading. Here is the link:kzfaq.info/get/bejne/n9tgmNmDx562YIU.html

clayitnow Thanks for replying to me, I used the one that you have to cook . It has equal parts of glue and corn flour. I didn’t realise you needed to use different clays for different projects. I tried to make figurines with it as well, didn’t work with that either.😩

No worries. You are welcome. Nowadays I don't use corn flour base homemade clay anymore. But if you use cold porcelain clay for figurine, I don't think you have any problem.. Just make sure you have the right technique to assemble the figurine part. Again, that clay I snot for wrapping around things - it will crack because the cold porcelain clay shrink a lot during drying time.
