I try out a new style of some of my favorite Miniature painting artists: @CraftworldStudioStudios. Using only 4 COLORS to try to get a painterly feel. Glazing and wet blending and really leaning into the different contrasts that can be achieved with a limited palette.

Well done Peter :) Thank you for mentioning us and trying our lessons, we are always happy when someone is inspired by our style and teachings. Underpainting and Overlapping Layers using tonal variations is one of the ways to play with limited palette. We liked your progress and experimenting with this mini, though we do care about brushstrokes a lot :) And tonal variations (mixes between paints comes in different values as well) . With this, we think it is important to mention that we have a Patreon page with monthly content of both videos and pdf booklets. Content posted from May 2020 until today is available for all students. We recently started sharing more of it at our KZfaq Channel as well. All our lessons are created and designed so that we share more insights in our painting techniques and style, but also colors and brushstrokes use, as well as other artistic fundamentals and values important for miniature painting. Using white is not a cheating tho. White is not considered a color (and you can't find white on a color wheel) in this type of painting. Great piece tho!
