EDIT PLEASE READ BOTTOM OF THIS POST FOR MORE INFO ABOUT MOULDS. Miniature resin tutorial jars with 2 part epoxy resin.
Supplies needed - epoxy resin casting clear type, moulds (see link bewlow) gloves, facemask, medicine cups, blunt end 18g drawing up needle, 3ml luer lock syringe. Alcohol inks. Baby wipes.

Any questions please feel free to ask, I am not an expert though but I will help if I can. This video is my own way of doing resin, there are other ways but I hope this will be helpful to some people.
EDIT 5/5/21 2 THINGS I WISH TO ADD. FIRSTLY I THINK THE MOULDS THAT I BOUGHT ARE NOT THE BEST/ POSSIBLY NOT GENUINE. THE GENUINE MOULDS ARE FROM JAPAN AND ARE BETTER QUALITY AND LIKELY TO LAST LONGER. TRY THIS LINK, THE MOULDS ARE MORE EXPENSIVE BUT SEEM BETTER QUALITY AND THE 3D ONES FIT TOGETHER BETTER.

ALSO I have stopped cutting the needles as some of the moulds were getting scratched by the cut needles.

So happy you shared this as I've ordered my moulds now. I work with UV Resin, & use the appropriate dyes to colour, then store them in 10ml black plastic squeezable needle bottles (labelling what colour they are). They are then ready to use in my mini moulds. I could quite happily watch you filling various mini moulds all day!

I use the same syringes as you (had a bunch left over from my medication, funnily enough) but I can't seem to draw up the resin well. Is there a way to make the resin less thick? Thanks!

Hi - no I dont think you can add anything to it to make it less thick. I sometimes take the needle off and draw up with just the syringe or it does take a while.

Where did you get a syringe with a needle that blunt? I thought needles were sharp? and you made a 14min video without showing us how to create the mold but, rather we should buy it, hmm good job!

The links for everything purchased are in the description. Drawing up needles are blunt because they arent for actual injections - just for drawing up the liquid. I never said I made the moulds, they are bought moulds. To make moulds would be quite hard to do - but you can try with putty but you would be better off buying them or I think you will make a lot of mistakes and it will end up costing your more.

@@downtoearthphotography6655 The only issue with buying them is, one is no longer creating, in that sense, you're replicating. And creating is what I want to do. So, forming something from scratch is key. Thanks by the way.

Thanks. I had a first try but ended up with solid lids rather than hollow. Any tips please?

The lids are quite solid, its how the mould is designed, but you can remove a small amount with the syringe to get them slightly concave. If you take too much you wont get the whole lid though

that is what I do not understand also...you fill the mold then unmold a hollow dish . makes no sense at all
