Hi! Using a car wash actually uses less water than washing at home with a hose because they recycle water!!! So keep it up 👍 Also - agree with so much on your list :) Keep being conscious, no need for unrealistic perfection ❤️

I love the pillows! I feel like the fact that YOU value them as decorative is what TRUE minimalism is about. You can want things as aesthetic if it is well thought out and valuables to you. Aesthetic can be valuable.

I have every card my parents gave me, and my in laws, my grandparents too. I also have my husbands love letters, and my daughters letters to us from when she was away in collage. They are my treasures, especially since my parents and grandparents are now passed

Oh! I love greeting cards, too! An older lady friend shared an idea: instead of signing the card, she and a group of her friends include a short note (they use scraps of paper that would ordinarily just be thrown away) and don’t write on the card, so they can send it to another person! It works wonderfully within the group, and saves money on some great cards that can be passed along! 🤓

Minimal lifestyle is not keeping that which is unnecessary. It doesn't mean you get rid of what make you happy. And finding a card amid the bills brights someone's day. Definitely worth the doing. 👍 Those earrings are awesome, btw. 💖

THE CENTIPEDE hahahah. Lovely video. I'm so bummed by people who are focused on ""calling out"" others in the minimalism movement. Like, we're all doing our best but nobody's perfect. We need to focus on what makes us truly happy first!

I am super late to this, but if you still wanted to, you can make your own SCOBY from bottled kombucha as long as it's not been pasteurized! I used to give workshops on how to do it pre-corona, it is super simple :) Basically just pour a cup of store-bought kombucha into sweetened tea, and let it sit for a few weeks as if you were making kombucha normally. You'll get a small SCOBY after a while, which will eventually mature into a big beauty 🙂

I still use paper for writing to do lists, letters, journals, learning and more. For me it brings me so much joy. A computer is just not it for me :-p. I do however try to save paper and reuse it when I can!

Thank you thank you for making these videos!! I love how down to earth you are about so many topics, minimalism can sometimes feel like a “competition” to see who can live with the least amount of things and this is such a good reminder that it’s about what makes you happy. I love your videos, I always feel really inspired after watching them 😊

Hi, Rebecca! Thank you for sharing! Instead of swabs I found a Japanese bamboo ear pick and have been using it for over seven years, for me it's so much more satisfying than cotton swabs. Just an idea.

The bloopers are always so funny! Please tell me, as a minimalist why can't you buy Kombucha? I've been using the ear pick for a little while now. I really like it & I think I can finally give up the Q tips. Damn...that wasn't easy! They are addicting. Making your own dog food is a commitment I don't want to make. I applaud you, but I feel a good dog food company is the better, less stress way to go. Dog treats I buy in bulk with my own bag. Minimalism is different for everyone. I could not live in a place with too few beautiful things. I am an artist, I have a good eye and I enjoy putting attractive rooms together. No extremes for me. Great video, thank you!

There is a dog food company called Just Food For Dogs. High quality, well researched. They have DIY kits that you can buy. The kit comes with a blend of all the vitamins and minerals and a recipe. You buy the veggies and meat according to the recipe add the blend and that gives you a safe and balanced homemade recipe. Doggies love it.❤️

I absolutely agree with the planer 👍 it's not just about having my meeting rendez-vous organized, I also use it to take notes, or for drawing and sketching 😊 also a planer doesn't get stolen so easily, as would be electronic devices, right 😉 The decoration-pillows that you have are amazing if you have neck problems - I only sleep on one of those 👌 Are we allowed to give you suggestions for the couch pillow colours? 🤔 🙃 Thank you very much for sharing this Rebecca! I really like your videos a lot 🌸💚🍀

Rebecca..so far, at least, you've already done the best thing that anyone can do for the environment...you haven't had children! The most eco-minded person in the world cannot save enough resources to make up for all the resources that one child will use, much less grandchildren and great grandchildren, etc. in the 1960's, there was so much attention being paid to population control, probably because the pill made it possible for the first time, but I am always amazed that we aren't hearing more about it from the ecological movement today.
