In this video I talk about how to reduce paper clutter in your life. 4 years ago I had mountains of paper and I felt overwhelmed and unorganized. Fast forward to today and I have digitized my life and feel calm and in control of my paper clutter. I share with you the steps I took to eliminate paper clutter in my life including how to reduce the amount of paper coming in, how to categorize and organize what you have, and how to create an organized, digital system that is sustainable. Minimalism is different for everyone, and for me it means only having items in your life that bring you happiness and add value. Thanks for watching!

At the end of 2018, my husband and I quit our jobs, sold our yoga studio and 90% of our possessions and moved into our 1969 VW bus. We spent 18 months traveling the globe exploring, rock climbing, adventuring and eating delicious vegan food along the way. We recently settled in Joshua Tree, CA with our pup Gypsy, and have been adjusting to a minimalist life in a house.

I started using my google account to backup my photos & documents. I live in Northern California which at this point seems to have a fire every year. It’s comforting to know that all of my sentimental photos are safe, my resume is uploaded, & I don’t have to be in a mad dash to find them all and grab the laptop in an evacuation situation.

Hi Rebecca. I found your channel the other day and I wanted to say that you are very calming to listen to. I watched this paper clutter video and was slightly taken aback that I have done everything you recommend, as well as have the same system for future paper/scanning. Quick question for you - how did you decide what you scanned vs. what you shredded, and how many things can you just find online like warranties, manuals, bills, and things like that?

Paper clutter is my White Whale. I still have a lot of other stuff to minimize, though, so I'm putting off going through my paper at the moment. This helped me look forward to the day when it's all gone - it'll be so nice! Also, your dog omg 🧡

great tips. I don't receive much in the way of paper any longer but do have to work on my electronic filing, not the best currently. Then there are those receipts that keep collecting in my pockets, I know I don't need most (any) of them but I've fooled myself into thinking I'm going to go through them to calculate my expenses.

Thanks for your video. The single most important thing that got me off the paper clutter was a scan app. There is no need for a scanner. WAY to slow and annoying. Scanner = 😖.

If you still have it, I’d love to buy that scanner from you! I’m in the process of digitizing my life and reducing my waste. I try to buy as much secondhand as well. Also THANK YOU for the adobe scan tip holy wow!

I gotta try that Adobe scan app, good idea. I love Google Drive - I've worked for companies that ran their entire business off it.

I currently use vintage milk crate for file folders. I'd love to get to place that paper is only what I'd save in a fire. But what would I do with my vintage milk crate? :D
