That's why I never like labels. Once you go out and say, "I am a minimalist" , people are ready to criticise you based on their perception and list of expectations.

Yes! Becoming a minimalist helped me focus on what I truly value. Which just happens to include piercings! I have 12 currently and plan to get more. :)

I consider myself a minimalist and I have six piercings! I consider them to also be a middle ground between buying an objet and an experience because each time I've gone to get a piercing it's been with a friend and we've made a whole day of it that now are memories and stories as well.
