It’s so interesting to see how your wardrobe has changed after you moved to Paris. I think it’s so important that our wardrobes reflect our current lifestyle and don’t keep us stuck in the past. I think you’ve done a wonderful job at transitioning from a wardrobe that suits the English countryside to French urban chic, while still clearly keeping your personal style 😊 question: can you wear black around Hope? I could never wear black around my dog as he had white fur and shedded A LOT 😅 So black clothes were for out and about and I would change the minute I got home 😂

Today I went shopping in Marigot, Saint Martin. A tiny little speck of an island in the middle of the blue Caribbean Sea that happens to be French. Let me just say, that I so admire your self control Jessica, because the French shops have a plethora of exquisite beautiful things. I channeled you Jessica, and looked and feasted with my eyes. I wanted a pair of Tropeziennes sandals for years, and there were two pairs that I fancied. One was a little less expensive, which is the pair I would have purchased in the past, the other pair was 5 euros more, but more exquisite, refined and perfect. I quieted my frugal voice and allowed myself to ask myself, but which one do you really love ? I left La rue de la république with my head held high. I bought the ones I love! A pair I will wear a lot and that goes with everything I already own, in black. But most importantly, that is all I bought. I resisted. Thank you Jessica. In the past I probably would have blown the budget… but the new me … can say NO. 😊

You could add a black jumper /cardigan , maybe a black Gaspard cardigan to outfit #2 for a more cozy outfit and it would look like a sweater and skirt . I love the black cropped jeans , also your black flats would look so cute with outfit #3 Hope needs her own little pink sweater to match you 💞

All beautiful outfits in beautiful locations for a beautiful soul! I live in Montana USA and have to wear dresses to certain occasions so I have a glorious pair of fleece lined tights.... Wondering if you could use a pair of those to extend the wearability of your pink skirt outfit through the colder months? Absolutely love that outfit!

@JessicaRoseWilliams As with everything, there are good ones and cheesy ones. I would invest in good ones as the cheesy one's tent to get pilly and fade. Definitely worth it!

Just lovely outfits, love them all but you particularly suit the midi dress. That Falabella bag is absolutely fantastic isn’t it, it always looks great even though you have had it for a while and somehow suits every outfit. I am hoping for a new year deal on it to take the plunge and purchase, would you get the black colour again I wonder?

thank you! That Falabella bag has been the Best Buy. I think it's like 7 years old now and it still looks exactly the same as when I bought it. I would get the black...but I'd go for gold trim now I think

Love your ability to create a capsule wardrobe. Fave outfit was first one. I think you have nailed the denier of tight. They are just the right level of opaque. I think Paris looks beautiful and you look beautiful against its backdrop. How are u finding living in a country where it is not your first language and are u still learning French x ❤ p.s. I've changed my utube handle. I was under Sophie Tucker before. Oh and I absolutely love the classic cable knit. Is it from Sezanne? I'd like a timeless jumper like that. It's got lovely style arms on it too and the criss cross pattern xx

Thank you for all your kind words. I love it. I find it exciting and it makes me feel alive, like life is new and fresh. Yes I'm still learning French, every week haha. The knit is from Lilysilk, I'm not sure if they still have that style but my guess is they'll have something similar xx

How many items of clothing do you own for fall/winter without shoes/boots? I think your pieces are very beautiful and I would like to put together a small, fine wardrobe for myself. I'm not sure how many pieces are enough. 😊

Eeeeek I’m not sure because I have a year round capsule wardrobe which is currently about 40 pieces in total. I always advise aiming for 50 pieces or less for a year round capsule wardrobe - but it really depends on you and your lifestyle / preferences. Do you track your outfits?? This might give you some idea of how often you like to repeat outfits etc. Best thing to do is start small and build it up slowly. It’s like a muscle. Eventually you’ll do it with very little thinking or effort
