That is my mantra that has worked so far, I've not been to Las Vegas and I would worry about the heat, so lightweight but covered due to sun. Love your aesthetic, thanks for sharing. San Francisco is not hot all year. It's actually rarely hot, it has very mild weather- rarely very hot or very cold. It's pretty nice right now (I live near there) but can still get windy and cool or foggy in the evening, especially in the western half of the city., closer to the ocean. Oakland can often be 10-20 degrees warmer than SF. For SF, just remember always bring a hoodie or sweatshirt for layering. You can probably skip the heavy coat, you should be fine with the leather jacket and lighter coat. I would also skip the umbrella, it is VERY rare to get any rain from May-October.

I was there years ago. It's damp and cool kind of like Germany where I live now. Warm during the day. Your sweatshirt will come in handy. Leave your blowdryer at home in Europe. You will find the electrical is incompatible unless you have a transformer. If you're at a hotel, they usually have hairdryers in the room anyway. I never bring one anymore.

How lovely that you are visiting San Francisco! I'm from just south of there and I want to warn you that it can be absolutely FREEZING there due to the cold sea air and thick fog. When it's clear and sunny it can be gorgeous, and hopefully you'll get some weather like that , but be prepared for cold. There's a famous quote that is (probably inaccurately) attributed to Mark Twain that says it all: "The coldest Winter I ever spent was Summer in San Francisco." You are right that the surrounding areas (such as Oakland, etc) are significantly warmer. Anyway, love your videos and welcome to Cali! Hope you have a great time. :)

I would recommend rolling your close, it creases less and gives you more space, and those travel bags from ikea work just fine for that👌 Have a great trip, enjoy it! ❤️

I am native to the San Francisco Bay Area. A key for you is to dress in layers, and always bring your light jacket no matter where you go. it is not uncommon to have a nice day that 78 degrees Fahrenheit and then have the clouds come in and it cool down to 58 degrees. San Francisco is much cooler than Oakland but Oakland is still relatively cooler than some of the other areas in the Bay Area. if you want a great workout, rent a bicycle and ride across the Golden Gate Bridge it's a good workout and it's beautiful. this is a great place with many things to do enjoy your trip!

You mentioned maybe picking up a vintage dungaree jacket. I recommend checking out my very favorite vintage store St. Lightning on 1815 polk St. in SF everything they have is perfect. Or Wasteland on Haight Street. Also check out the Sutro Bath House ruins at sunset for a beautiful view. Have fun!!!

Hope you had a great trip! It's going to be chilly here in SF for the next week, so the scarf and jackets were the perfect call. Las Vegas is usually very warm, but the indoors are overly air-donditioned - and too chilly for my taste.

About SF weather; You will see people in shorts and flipflops, and puffer jackets w Ugg boots all on the same day. Very schizzofrenic! Like somebody said here before me; 4 seasons every day, minus the snow or below freezing. Plus; next time you go, drive down to Big Sur and Carmel, and when in SF and going over the GGB, stop in Sausalito! Beautiful views of the city!

You will need dresses or shorts in Las Vegas. Very hot, but cool at night. San Francisco is a great city for walking. The steep hills will give you a very good work out. No gym required. You can't imagine until you see them. Also, parking one's car is almost impossible, so take the BART train from Oakland and walk.
