I am a husband of ten years and a father of four, and in my honest opinion, your advice on how to be debt-free and happy surpasses that of Dave Ramsey. I discovered your videos through a recommendation algorithm and have found them to be incredibly encouraging.

The mindset is everything! Having grown up poor and have lived low income my whole life, it really truly is a mindset that can go one of two ways: Live like you’re low income or live well and make the best of it. My mindset hasn’t been on keeping up with the jones’ as an adult as much as it was growing up. I take full pleasure in being frugal, finding deals, thrifting, garage sailing, making old things new, keeping my home lovely with what we have and taking pride in it as I clean, organize and make it a beautiful space for my family to rest in. I have always told myself that just because we make little doesn’t mean we don’t have much. It’s so easy to get trapped in discontentment and the wants but the Lord has always provided our NEEDS and that’s plenty ❤ I just bought a candle at a craft fair and I was so excited to come home and light it. My girls and I enjoyed it so much when we got home 😅 it’s the little things we should take notice in and life will be so full!

Im a brat but I am very thankful that i can buy things that i have. I am not a total brat even though I may differ with that at times but I drive an old van bc I have many grandbabies. I drive an ild van because i use that extra money to have when i want or need something. $700 a month for a car payment is a lot for needs and wants. Im able to give and stay home to care for my 91 year old adopted dad and be there for my grandbabies and my children. Ive updated my home. I just feel truly blessed and i make sure i invest my time and my self to God. I enjoyed your video. I have been with my husband since I turned 16, now 53, married 34 years, together almost 37.

My parents came out of WWII. I grew up in a generation where we had the same home decor our entire childhoods and only got new clothes, including shoes & coats before the new school year. So, every one of my friend's moms took REALLY good care of their homes and clothing. Not obsessively. There was no plastic on the sofa😂, but we weren't allowed to eat outside the kitchen. They took great care in stain removal and mending and ironing everything. I do the same today. Other than towels, sheets, jeans, andunderwear/socks, our clothes are washed on the gentle cycle/cold water and line dried. I treat everything with gratitude to God; as a blessing.♥️🇨🇦

THIS episode is EXACTLY what I needed to hear...finally someone said it like it should be said!! I have tried to be as reasonable as possible in my life, overpleasing others and trying to not be nitpicky. Now I am to the point in my life I understand I dont need all the extras. God gives us things we need in the time we need them..not me overthinking I just need to push harder to get the good stuff. Thank you so much for posting this! A refreshing humbling shot all in one. Really I needed this today!!

Same here, our biggest issue is debt that we’re working so hard to get out of. It’s so hard and sometimes I wish we could afford to take the kids to a theme park or go out to a restaurant for a birthday, but through all of this the Lord is teaching me contentment and fully trusting Him, and that gives me peace and helps with my perspective change.

My husband and I are making living on finding stuff in Goodwill and selling it . We find treasures what people didn’t even realize they had. I myself shop a lot there too for myself and home. And our business reminds me of God how He seeks and search for people who bare a good fruit and He takes them clean them and uses for His purpose to multiply and not throwing it away. We have been living on income like that for years. So we can bless the church and people in need around us when we can . We don’t have a very same and regular income but there is always enough for our needs plus extra . May we remember that God is our ONE TRUE resource .

It's true, having an excess. I learned that when we moved. I'm not upset by leaving a lot behind, we had to leave a lot behind. We couldn't get everything moved & I'm happy about that now. We had way too much, I think we still do. Enjoying the space... Yes! I've learned less is more, it even feels better. Living for the Lord! Yes, your right. I agree with you! I love your videos & sitting here & I'm very happy enjoying what the Lord has given us! Thank you!

One of our biggest problems is that all of the bills we have are things we have no way to reduce.. they just go unpaid until we manage to make a payment when we can or when we Have to , like the utilities … I’ve definitely been learning a lot through this process though and trusting God , we keep getting what we NEED right when we NEED it every time… even when it’s as last minute as possible 🤣 God works that way sometimes, keeps you on your toes .

When I hear my Sister in Christ Heidi speaking it’s as though it’s literally me talking. 😃( it makes me so happy!!!!!!!) 🤍✨ I just shared your video of why “Biblical Womanhood matters”, on my Facebook along with my above comment. 😊(oh and I tagged my 4 daughters because they can attest to that 😉). What an important video that was along with every other video that you share. Grateful to God for your life! 1 Corinthians 2:16 - For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. Romans 12:2 - And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

1 Corinthians 2:14-16 - But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians 2:13-16 - Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

There is a flip side to the money issue….I’m a dental hygienist and had a family that had 3 girls who were homeschooled by the mom who of course didn’t work. All three of the girls desperately needed braces . Not only for their looks but for actual function and to help with their breathing and airways.. Every time they would come in the DDS would tell mom, “ the girls REALLY NEED BRACES “ , and encouraged mom to take them to an orthodontist.. The last time I saw them the mom turned to me and said,” IDK what people are supposed to do ? How do they afford things like braces?” I said ,” Well speaking as a parent of 2 children that also had to have braces, I work “. I wanted to end it with DUHHHH, but of course didn’t. Those young women will have major problems all their lives that go beyond just appearance, all because mom didn’t want to work…
@HeavenlyMindedHome
@HeavenlyMindedHome 9 ай бұрын
What about the poor children of the parents that cannot work? Or that both parents do work and cannot still afford it? If their family was so low income, they could apply for state insurance. A mom in the home will always be more valuable than a paycheck. Always. Not that mom in the home can’t still do things with a financial impact… but a mom’s value at home is ALWAYS the highest value she can give. Types of employees in medical office like this attitude shown here are exactly why many families avoid offices altogether. What a horrible thing to say about another mother doing her best for her children.
@tamb7587
@tamb7587 9 ай бұрын
@@HeavenlyMindedHome But in who’s opinion is she doing “ the best” for her children? I know loads of people who did not stay home and homeschool their children and their kids are great , and yes Christian kids . You are viewing this only from one side of the coin. My “attitude “ as you put it is only in reaction to a silly question that she asked, which was “ how do people afford thing like braces”. When the answer is very CLEAR to those of us who choose to work to provide those things. It’s not an attitude as much as a fact of life.. Why should I , a woman who went to work every day to provide for my kids feel as if I’m not doing “ my best” because I did not choose to stay home?.. Had I chosen that, my kids would not have had braces either.. My point is that you are only viewing things from ONE side of the coin and as I see QUICKLY condemning those who don’t have the exact opinion as yourself. My mothers mother was divorced and left with 5 children to raise alone, she was an fine Christian and moral woman but had to work to raise her 5 children, who btw all became successful moral and Christian adults ..
@HeavenlyMindedHome
@HeavenlyMindedHome 9 ай бұрын
Money doesn’t equal success. If you want the government to raise your kids- go for it! Absolutely that is your choice. I don’t care how much money you make- things like braces that are, in some opinions, “so necessary” is ridiculously expensive. To devalue a mother because she “wouldn’t go work” is a sad thing for someone to do. Plain and simple.
